प्रो स्य वह्निः॑ प॒थ्या॑भिरस्यान्दि॒वो न वृ॒ष्टिः पव॑मानो अक्षाः | स॒हस्र॑धारो असद॒न्न्य१॒॑स्मे मा॒तुरु॒पस्थे॒ वन॒ आ च॒ सोमः॑ ||
pró syá váhniḥ pathyāā̀bhir asyān divó ná vr̥ṣṭíḥ pávamāno akṣāḥ sahásradhāro asadan ny àsmé mātúr upásthe vána ā́ ca sómaḥ
This Soma, the impeller, moved along the pathways, flowing like rain from the sky. The thousand-streamed Soma settled with us, in the forest, upon its mother's lap.
The flowing Soma, like celestial rain, moves along its paths. It is compared to a powerful, thousand-streamed being that has settled in the forest, embraced by its mother.

rā́jā síndhūnām avasiṣṭa vā́sa r̥tásya nā́vam ā́ruhad rájiṣṭhām apsú drapsó vāvr̥dhe śyenájūto duhá īm pitā́ duhá īm pitúr jā́m
The king, adorned with the robe of rivers, mounted the swiftest ship of order. Driven by the eagle, the drop grew in the waters: the father draws it, he draws the father's kin.
The king Soma, adorned with the essence of rivers, has ascended the swift boat of cosmic order. Propelled by the eagle, the drop has grown in the waters, and it is drawn by the father, and by the father's kin.

Flowing victoriously, uninjured, towards the divine assembly, flow as an Indra-slayer, O Soma. Grant us plentiful, wondrous riches, and may we be masters of heroic strength.
Soma is entreated to flow, unharmed, towards the divine assembly, acting as a slayer of obstacles for Indra. He is asked to grant abundant and splendid wealth, and to enable the suppliants to become masters of heroic strength.
