Stanza 6.42.1
प्रत्य॑स्मै॒ पिपी॑षते॒ विश्वा॑नि वि॒दुषे॑ भर | अ॒रं॒ग॒माय॒ जग्म॒येऽप॑श्चाद्दघ्वने॒ नरे॑ ||
práty asmai pípīṣate víśvāni vidúṣe bhara araṁgamā́ya jágmayé 'paścāddaghvane náre
Bring to him, who knows all and desires to drink (Soma), offerings. For the hero who comes rapidly and advances forward, bring them to this man.
This verse is a call to offer sacrifices and worship to a divine being, described as all-knowing and eager for Soma. The deity is also characterized as a traveler, swift-moving, and a forward-advancing hero. The offerings are intended for this powerful, approaching figure.

एमे॑नं प्र॒त्येत॑न॒ सोमे॑भिः सोम॒पात॑मम् | अम॑त्रेभिर्ऋजी॒षिण॒मिन्द्रं॑ सु॒तेभि॒रिन्दु॑भिः ||
ém enam pratyétana sómebhiḥ somapā́tamam ámatrebhir r̥jīṣíṇam índraṁ sutébhir índubhiḥ
Approach him with the Somas, with the best Soma-drinker. With libations, come near the vigorous one, Indra, with the pressed juices.
This verse instructs devotees to approach and offer Soma libations to Indra, who is praised as the greatest drinker of Soma. The people are encouraged to come near the impetuous, Soma-loving deity with their offerings, specifically mentioning Soma and the pressed juice.

yádī sutébhir índubhiḥ sómebhiḥ pratibhū́ṣatha védā víśvasya médhiro dhr̥ṣát táṁ tam íd éṣate
When you approach with the pressed juices and Somas, the wise one knows everything. The bold one strives, and overcomes him.
This verse describes how, when devotees approach with Soma libations, the wise and bold Indra understands their desires. He effectively counters and overcomes obstacles or adversaries, demonstrating his power and protective nature towards his followers.

asmā́-asmā íd ándhasó 'dhvaryo prá bharā sutám kuvít samasya jényasya śárdhato 'bhíśaster avaspárat
Adhvaryu, bring the pressed libation to him, to this one. Will he indeed protect us from the enemy, from the powerful one and the one who hates?
The verse is an invocation to the Adhvaryu priest to offer the pressed Soma libation to Indra. The speaker then questions if Indra, through his power and might, will protect them from the malice and envy of adversaries, especially those who are proud and powerful.
