Stanza 6.10.1
पु॒रो वो॑ म॒न्द्रं दि॒व्यं सु॑वृ॒क्तिं प्र॑य॒ति य॒ज्ञे अ॒ग्निम॑ध्व॒रे द॑धिध्वम् | पु॒र उ॒क्थेभिः॒ स हि नो॑ वि॒भावा॑ स्वध्व॒रा क॑रति जा॒तवे॑दाः ||
puró vo mandráṁ divyáṁ suvr̥ktím prayatí yajñé agním adhvaré dadhidhvam purá ukthébhiḥ sá hí no vibhā́vā svadhvarā́ karati jātávedāḥ
Install Agni, the joyful and divine, before you in the sacrifice, who advances with hymns. For he, the luminous Jātavedas, makes our offerings well-made and pleasing.
This stanza is an invocation to Agni, the god of fire, asking the worshippers to install him in their sacrifice with joyous and divine hymns. Agni, known as Jātavedas (one who knows all births), is praised for his illuminating presence and his ability to make sacrifices successful and pleasing.

Hear this glorious praise, O Agni, radiant, multi-faceted priest. For you, kindled by human fires, we offer this hymn with strength, as if for personal gain, like pure ghee; these thoughts flow forth.

He thrives in glory among mortals, who, a wise one, offers to Agni with hymns. Agni, with shining brilliance and wondrous help, grants him the attainment of a stable full of cows.

This verse describes Agni's magnificent appearance at his birth. He fills the earth and sky with his light, visible from afar. His path is marked by darkness, yet he himself is revealed by his own brilliant radiance, purifying all he touches.

Now, Agni, with your wonderful and powerful help, grant us and the wealthy abundant riches. They who surpass others with gifts, fame, and heroic virtue, make them flourish.
