Stanza 4.12.1
यस्त्वाम॑ग्न इ॒नध॑ते य॒तस्रु॒क्त्रिस्ते॒ अन्नं॑ कृ॒णव॒त्सस्मि॒न्नह॑न् | स सु द्यु॒म्नैर॒भ्य॑स्तु प्र॒सक्ष॒त्तव॒ क्रत्वा॑ जातवेदश्चिकि॒त्वान् ||
yás tvā́m agna inádhate yatásruk trís te ánnaṁ kr̥ṇávat sásminn áhan sá sú dyumnaír abhy àstu prasákṣat táva krátvā jātavedaś cikitvā́n
Whoever enkindles you, O Agni, with a raised ladle, and thrice this day makes offerings of food to you, may he, that man, on that day, be victorious with splendors, wise through your power, O knower of all births.

idhmáṁ yás te jabhárac chaśramāṇó mahó agne ánīkam ā́ saparyán sá idhānáḥ práti doṣā́m uṣā́sam púṣyan rayíṁ sacate ghnánn amítrān
The one who, toiling, brings you fuel, O Agni, diligently serving your mighty presence, he, kindled at evening and at dawn, prospering, obtains wealth and destroys enemies.
This verse continues the praise of Agni, describing the devotee who diligently brings fuel for the fire. Such a person, who tirelessly serves Agni day and night, is promised prosperity, wealth, and victory over enemies. The act of serving Agni is linked to success and protection.

O youngest Agni, whatever sin we, as mortals, have committed against you through thoughtlessness, make us sinless before Aditi; release us from all offenses on all sides, O Agni!

maháś cid agna énaso abhī́ka ūrvā́d devā́nām utá mártyānām mā́ te sákhāyaḥ sádam íd riṣāma yáchā tokā́ya tánayāya śáṁ yóḥ
O Agni, even from great sin, from the stronghold of gods and mortals, may we, your friends, never be harmed. Grant well-being and prosperity to our children and descendants.
This verse implores Agni to protect his devotees from grave transgressions, whether originating from divine or human sources. yáthā ha tyád vasavo gauryàṁ cit padí ṣitā́m ámuñcatā yajatrāḥ evó ṣv àsmán muñcatā vy áṁhaḥ prá tāry agne prataráṁ na ā́yuḥ
Just as you, O Vasus, formerly released the cow that was tethered by the foot, O worshipful ones, so also release us from this distress. O Agni, let our life be further prolonged.
