Stanza 3.3.1

वै॒श्वा॒न॒राय॑ पृथु॒पाज॑से॒ विपो॒ रत्ना॑ विधन्त ध॒रुणे॑षु॒ गात॑वे | अ॒ग्निर्हि दे॒वाँ अ॒मृतो॑ दुव॒स्यत्यथा॒ धर्मा॑णि स॒नता॒ न दू॑दुषत् ||

vaiśvānarā́ya pr̥thupā́jase vípo rátnā vidhanta dharúṇeṣu gā́tave agnír hí devā́m̐ amŕ̥to duvasyáty áthā dhármāṇi sanátā ná dūduṣat

Let the wise offer precious gifts to Vaishvanara, who has vast power, so that he may guide them on steady paths. For Agni, the immortal, serves the gods. He has never broken their ancient, eternal laws.

Stanza 3.3.2

अ॒न्तर्दू॒तो रोद॑सी द॒स्म ई॑यते॒ होता॒ निष॑त्तो॒ मनु॑षः पु॒रोहि॑तः | क्षयं॑ बृ॒हन्तं॒ परि॑ भूषति॒ द्युभि॑र्दे॒वेभि॑र॒ग्निरि॑षि॒तो धि॒याव॑सुः ||

antár dūtó ródasī dasmá īyate hótā níṣatto mánuṣaḥ puróhitaḥ kṣáyam br̥hántam pári bhūṣati dyúbhir devébhir agnír iṣitó dhiyā́vasuḥ

That amazing messenger, Agni, travels between the skies and the earth. He is the priest, settled in place, the one who leads the rituals for people. He carefully tends to his great home with his powers, sent by the gods, rich with devotion.

Stanza 3.3.3

के॒तुं य॒ज्ञानां॑ वि॒दथ॑स्य॒ साध॑नं॒ विप्रा॑सो अ॒ग्निं म॑हयन्त॒ चित्ति॑भिः | अपां॑सि॒ यस्मि॒न्नधि॑ संद॒धुर्गिर॒स्तस्मि॑न्त्सु॒म्नानि॒ यज॑मान॒ आ च॑के ||

ketúṁ yajñā́nāṁ vidáthasya sā́dhanaṁ víprāso agním mahayanta cíttibhiḥ ápāṁsi yásminn ádhi saṁdadhúr gíras tásmin sumnā́ni yájamāna ā́ cake

With their deep thoughts, the wise ones praise Agni, the symbol of sacrifices and the organizer of sacred assemblies. They gather their rituals and hymns in him, and the worshipper seeks joyful blessings from him.

Stanza 3.3.4

पि॒ता य॒ज्ञाना॒मसु॑रो विप॒श्चितां॑ वि॒मान॑म॒ग्निर्व॒युनं॑ च वा॒घता॑म् | आ वि॑वेश॒ रोद॑सी॒ भूरि॑वर्पसा पुरुप्रि॒यो भ॑न्दते॒ धाम॑भिः क॒विः ||

pitā́ yajñā́nām ásuro vipaścítāṁ vimā́nam agnír vayúnaṁ ca vāghátām ā́ viveśa ródasī bhū́rivarpasā purupriyó bhandate dhā́mabhiḥ kavíḥ

Agni, the father of sacrifices, the divine master of the knowing ones, has entered both the earth and sky with his vast forms. He is the model and the guiding principle for the rituals of the priests. This sage, loved by many, rejoices in his radiant powers.

Stanza 3.3.5

च॒न्द्रम॒ग्निं च॒न्द्रर॑थं॒ हरि॑व्रतं वैश्वान॒रम॑प्सु॒षदं॑ स्व॒र्विद॑म् | वि॒गा॒हं तूर्णिं॒ तवि॑षीभि॒रावृ॑तं॒ भूर्णिं॑ दे॒वास॑ इ॒ह सु॒श्रियं॑ दधुः ||

candrám agníṁ candrárathaṁ hárivrataṁ vaiśvānarám apsuṣádaṁ svarvídam vigāháṁ tū́rṇiṁ táviṣībhir ā́vr̥tam bhū́rṇiṁ devā́sa ihá suśríyaṁ dadhuḥ

The gods have established here Agni, the brilliant one, with his bright chariot and golden ways. Vaishvanara, who lives in the waters and finds the sunlight, the swift, powerful, and all-pervading one, who is covered with strength, they have placed him here in great glory.

Stanza 3.3.6

अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वेभि॒र्मनु॑षश्च ज॒न्तुभि॑स्तन्वा॒नो य॒ज्ञं पु॑रु॒पेश॑सं धि॒या | र॒थीर॒न्तरी॑यते॒ साध॑दिष्टिभिर्जी॒रो दमू॑ना अभिशस्ति॒चात॑नः ||

agnír devébhir mánuṣaś ca jantúbhis tanvānó yajñám purupéśasaṁ dhiyā́ rathī́r antár īyate sā́dhadiṣṭibhir jīró dámūnā abhiśasticā́tanaḥ

Agni, together with the gods and people, spreads out the richly adorned sacrifice with his thought. He moves like a charioteer, facilitating the rites and the worshippers. He is quick, the master of the house, and the dispeller of curses.

Stanza 3.3.7

अग्ने॒ जर॑स्व स्वप॒त्य आयु॑न्यू॒र्जा पि॑न्वस्व॒ समिषो॑ दिदीहि नः | वयां॑सि जिन्व बृह॒तश्च॑ जागृव उ॒शिग्दे॒वाना॒मसि॑ सु॒क्रतु॑र्वि॒पाम् ||

ágne járasva svapatyá ā́yuny ūrjā́ pinvasva sám íṣo didīhi naḥ váyāṁsi jinva br̥hatáś ca jāgr̥va uśíg devā́nām ási sukrátur vipā́m

Agni, may you grow in our life with offspring! Fill us with abundance and shine upon us with food. Strengthen our great energies, O watchful one. You are eager to serve the gods, possessing good wisdom for their desires.

Stanza 3.3.8

वि॒श्पतिं॑ य॒ह्वमति॑थिं॒ नरः॒ सदा॑ य॒न्तारं॑ धी॒नामु॒शिजं॑ च वा॒घता॑म् | अ॒ध्व॒राणां॒ चेत॑नं जा॒तवे॑दसं॒ प्र शं॑सन्ति॒ नम॑सा जू॒तिभि॑र्वृ॒धे ||

viśpátiṁ yahvám átithiṁ náraḥ sádā yantā́raṁ dhīnā́m uśíjaṁ ca vāghátām adhvarā́ṇāṁ cétanaṁ jātávedasam prá śaṁsanti námasā jūtíbhir vr̥dhé

Men constantly praise Agni, the leader of their communities, the mighty guest, the guide of their thoughts, and the inspiring one for the priests. He is the awakener of rituals, Jatavedas. They praise him with reverence and with prayers for his help in their growth.

Stanza 3.3.9

वि॒भावा॑ दे॒वः सु॒रणः॒ परि॑ क्षि॒तीर॒ग्निर्ब॑भूव॒ शव॑सा सु॒मद्र॑थः | तस्य॑ व्र॒तानि॑ भूरिपो॒षिणो॑ व॒यमुप॑ भूषेम॒ दम॒ आ सु॑वृ॒क्तिभिः॑ ||

vibhā́vā deváḥ suráṇaḥ pári kṣitī́r agnír babhūva śávasā sumádrathaḥ tásya vratā́ni bhūripoṣíṇo vayám úpa bhūṣema dáma ā́ suvr̥ktíbhiḥ

The brilliant, joyful god Agni, on his splendid chariot, has surrounded all dwellings with his might. May we, in our home, honor his commands, which bring abundant prosperity, with beautiful praises.

Stanza 3.3.10

वैश्वा॑नर॒ तव॒ धामा॒न्या च॑के॒ येभिः॑ स्व॒र्विदभ॑वो विचक्षण | जा॒त आपृ॑णो॒ भुव॑नानि॒ रोद॑सी॒ अग्ने॒ ता विश्वा॑ परि॒भूर॑सि॒ त्मना॑ ||

vaíśvānara táva dhā́māny ā́ cake yébhiḥ svarvíd ábhavo vicakṣaṇa jātá ā́pr̥ṇo bhúvanāni ródasī ágne tā́ víśvā paribhū́r asi tmánā

O Vaishvanara, I celebrate your powers by which you, the discerning one, found the light. Since your birth, you have filled both worlds, the skies and the earth. Agni, you encompass all these things by your own might.

Stanza 3.3.11

वै॒श्वा॒न॒रस्य॑ दं॒सना॑भ्यो बृ॒हदरि॑णा॒देकः॑ स्वप॒स्यया॑ क॒विः | उ॒भा पि॒तरा॑ म॒हय॑न्नजायता॒ग्निर्द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी भूरि॑रेतसा ||

vaiśvānarásya daṁsánābhyo br̥hád áriṇād ékaḥ svapasyáyā kavíḥ ubhā́ pitárā maháyann ajāyatāgnír dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ bhū́riretasā

For Vaishvanara's powerful deeds, he alone, the sage, with his skill, achieved great things. Agni was born honoring both his parents, Heaven and Earth, filled with abundant energy.
