To Vaiśvānara, Agni, who makes cosmic order grow, we offer our pure, refined praise, like ghee. With our focused thoughts and prayers, we bring forth this offering, making him, our divine priest and messenger, accessible, just as a skilled craftsman shapes wood.
This verse is a dedication to Agni, the radiant deity, specifically to his Vaiśvānara form, who is seen as the sustainer of cosmic order (Ṛta). The poets are presenting a pure offering, like clarified butter, to Agni, acknowledging him as the divine priest and messenger who brings everything together with their insightful prayers and focused effort.
