Stanza 9.94.1

अधि॒ यद॑स्मिन्वा॒जिनी॑व॒ शुभः॒ स्पर्ध॑न्ते॒ धियः॒ सूर्ये॒ न विशः॑ | अ॒पो वृ॑णा॒नः प॑वते कवी॒यन्व्र॒जं न प॑शु॒वर्ध॑नाय॒ मन्म॑ ||

ádhi yád asmin vājínīva śúbha spárdhante dhíyaḥ sū́rye ná víśaḥ apó vr̥ṇānáḥ pavate kavīyán vrajáṁ ná paśuvárdhanāya mánma

When praises and thoughts, like shining beauties, contend for the Soma, as if in a race, and like people for the sun, he flows, purifying himself with waters and songs, like a stable for the nourishment of cattle.

Stanza 9.94.2

द्वि॒ता व्यू॒र्ण्वन्न॒मृत॑स्य॒ धाम॑ स्व॒र्विदे॒ भुव॑नानि प्रथन्त | धियः॑ पिन्वा॒नाः स्वस॑रे॒ न गाव॑ ऋता॒यन्ती॑र॒भि वा॑वश्र॒ इन्दु॑म् ||

dvitā́ vyūrṇvánn amŕ̥tasya dhā́ma svarvíde bhúvanāni prathanta dhíyaḥ pinvānā́ḥ svásare ná gā́va r̥tāyántīr abhí vāvaśra índum

Understanding the realms, he expands the abodes of immortality. The worlds spread out for him who knows the light. The songs, growing strong like cows in a stable, resound, calling to the divine essence (Indu).

Stanza 9.94.3

परि॒ यत्क॒विः काव्या॒ भर॑ते॒ शूरो॒ न रथो॒ भुव॑नानि॒ विश्वा॑ | दे॒वेषु॒ यशो॒ मर्ता॑य॒ भूष॒न्दक्षा॑य रा॒यः पु॑रु॒भूषु॒ नव्यः॑ ||

pári yát kavíḥ kā́vyā bhárate śū́ro ná rátho bhúvanāni víśvā devéṣu yáśo mártāya bhū́ṣan dákṣāya rāyáḥ purubhū́ṣu návyaḥ

As a hero, the wise one bears around the worlds his skillful poetic creations, like a chariot. He bestows fame among the gods, and for the mortal, wealth, and is newly brilliant for the skillful, and for those who praise him.

Stanza 9.94.4

श्रि॒ये जा॒तः श्रि॒य आ निरि॑याय॒ श्रियं॒ वयो॑ जरि॒तृभ्यो॑ दधाति | श्रियं॒ वसा॑ना अमृत॒त्वमा॑य॒न्भव॑न्ति स॒त्या स॑मि॒था मि॒तद्रौ॑ ||

śriyé jātáḥ śriyá ā́ nír iyāya śríyaṁ váyo jaritŕ̥bhyo dadhāti śríyaṁ vásānā amr̥tatvám āyan bhávanti satyā́ samithā́ mitádrau

Born for glory, he came forth in glory; he grants vigor and glory to the singers. Clothed in glory, they attain immortality; the successful, measured in their ways, become victorious.

Stanza 9.94.5

इष॒मूर्ज॑म॒भ्य१॒॑र्षाश्वं॒ गामु॒रु ज्योतिः॑ कृणुहि॒ मत्सि॑ दे॒वान् | विश्वा॑नि॒ हि सु॒षहा॒ तानि॒ तुभ्यं॒ पव॑मान॒ बाध॑से सोम॒ शत्रू॑न् ||

íṣam ū́rjam abhy àrṣā́śvaṁ gā́m urú jyótiḥ kr̥ṇuhi mátsi devā́n víśvāni hí suṣáhā tā́ni túbhyam pávamāna bā́dhase soma śátrūn

Send forth food and strength, horses and cows, and create for us vast light, gladdening the gods. All these things are easily mastered by you, O Pavamana Soma; you conquer enemies.
