The Soma-juice, reddish and strong like a bull, has been pressed. The wonderful essence has roared towards the cattle. Being purified, it moves through the filtering wool, settling like a hawk upon the ghee-anointed seat.
This verse describes the Soma-juice being pressed and prepared for ritual. It is personified as a powerful, reddish-brown bull that bellows as it is processed. After being purified through filtering material, it is ready to be offered, likened to a hawk settling on a place prepared with ghee (clarified butter), signifying its potent and divine nature.
