Stanza 9.81.1

प्र सोम॑स्य॒ पव॑मानस्यो॒र्मय॒ इन्द्र॑स्य यन्ति ज॒ठरं॑ सु॒पेश॑सः | द॒ध्ना यदी॒मुन्नी॑ता य॒शसा॒ गवां॑ दा॒नाय॒ शूर॑मु॒दम॑न्दिषुः सु॒ताः ||

prá sómasya pávamānasyormáya índrasya yanti jaṭháraṁ supéśasaḥ dadhnā́ yád īm únnītā yaśásā gávāṁ dānā́ya śū́ram udámandiṣuḥ sutā́ḥ

The waves of the purifying Soma flow towards the well-adorned belly of Indra. When it is mixed with cow's milk-curd and offered, the pressed Soma delights the hero, inspiring him to give gifts.

Stanza 9.81.2

अच्छा॒ हि सोमः॑ क॒लशाँ॒ असि॑ष्यद॒दत्यो॒ न वोळ्हा॑ र॒घुव॑र्तनि॒र्वृषा॑ | अथा॑ दे॒वाना॑मु॒भय॑स्य॒ जन्म॑नो वि॒द्वाँ अ॑श्नोत्य॒मुत॑ इ॒तश्च॒ यत् ||

áchā hí sómaḥ kaláśām̐ ásiṣyadad átyo ná vóḷhā raghúvartanir vŕ̥ṣā áthā devā́nām ubháyasya jánmano vidvā́m̐ aśnoty amúta itáś ca yát

Soma flows into the vessels like a swift, strong horse. Knowing both the divine and the earthly realms, it obtains the privileges and portions belonging to the gods, both near and far.

Stanza 9.81.3

आ नः॑ सोम॒ पव॑मानः किरा॒ वस्विन्दो॒ भव॑ म॒घवा॒ राध॑सो म॒हः | शिक्षा॑ वयोधो॒ वस॑वे॒ सु चे॒तुना॒ मा नो॒ गय॑मा॒रे अ॒स्मत्परा॑ सिचः ||

ā́ naḥ soma pávamānaḥ kirā vásv índo bháva maghávā rā́dhaso maháḥ śíkṣā vayodho vásave sú cetúnā mā́ no gáyam āré asmát párā sicaḥ

O purifying Soma, flow wealth to us! O Indu, be a wealthy and generous patron! With good understanding, help us to gain riches, and do not let our home and possessions be scattered far from us.

Stanza 9.81.4

आ नः॑ पू॒षा पव॑मानः सुरा॒तयो॑ मि॒त्रो ग॑च्छन्तु॒ वरु॑णः स॒जोष॑सः | बृह॒स्पति॑र्म॒रुतो॑ वा॒युर॒श्विना॒ त्वष्टा॑ सवि॒ता सु॒यमा॒ सर॑स्वती ||

ā́ naḥ pūṣā́ pávamānaḥ surātáyo mitró gachantu váruṇaḥ sajóṣasaḥ bŕ̥haspátir marúto vāyúr aśvínā tváṣṭā savitā́ suyámā sárasvatī

Let Pūṣan, the purifying Soma, and the bountiful Mitra and Varuṇa, along with the Maruts, Vāyu, the Aśvins, Tvāṣṭar, Savitṛ, and Sarasvatī, come to us.

Stanza 9.81.5

उ॒भे द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी वि॑श्वमि॒न्वे अ॑र्य॒मा दे॒वो अदि॑तिर्विधा॒ता | भगो॒ नृशंस॑ उ॒र्व१॒॑न्तरि॑क्षं॒ विश्वे॑ दे॒वाः पव॑मानं जुषन्त ||

ubhé dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ viśvaminvé aryamā́ devó áditir vidhātā́ bhágo nŕ̥śáṁsa urv àntárikṣaṁ víśve devā́ḥ pávamānaṁ juṣanta

May both Heaven and Earth, Aryaman, the god Aditi, the ordainer Vidhātṛ, Bhaga, the man-bestowing one, and the wide sky, along with all the gods, favor the purifying Soma.
