Stanza 9.47.1

अ॒या सोमः॑ सुकृ॒त्यया॑ म॒हश्चि॑द॒भ्य॑वर्धत | म॒न्दा॒न उद्वृ॑षायते ||

ayā́ sómaḥ sukr̥tyáyā maháś cid abhy àvardhata mandāná úd vr̥ṣāyate

With this skilled ritual, Soma grows in power, and, gladdened, it rises up like a bull.

Stanza 9.47.2

कृ॒तानीद॑स्य॒ कर्त्वा॒ चेत॑न्ते दस्यु॒तर्ह॑णा | ऋ॒णा च॑ धृ॒ष्णुश्च॑यते ||

kr̥tā́nī́d asya kártvā cétante dasyutárhaṇā r̥ṇā́ ca dhr̥ṣṇúś cayate

His deeds are accomplished, his crushes of the Dasyus become clear; he sternly settles all debts.

Stanza 9.47.3

आत्सोम॑ इन्द्रि॒यो रसो॒ वज्रः॑ सहस्र॒सा भु॑वत् | उ॒क्थं यद॑स्य॒ जाय॑ते ||

ā́t sóma indriyó ráso vájraḥ sahasrasā́ bhuvat uktháṁ yád asya jā́yate

As soon as Soma, Indra's juice, is generated, it becomes a thunderbolt that wins a thousand battles.

Stanza 9.47.4

स्व॒यं क॒विर्वि॑ध॒र्तरि॒ विप्रा॑य॒ रत्न॑मिच्छति | यदी॑ मर्मृ॒ज्यते॒ धियः॑ ||

svayáṁ kavír vidhartári víprāya rátnam ichati yádī marmr̥jyáte dhíyaḥ

The poet and sustainer himself desires wealth for the singer when he purifies his thoughts.

Stanza 9.47.5

सि॒षा॒सतू॑ रयी॒णां वाजे॒ष्वर्व॑तामिव | भरे॑षु जि॒ग्युषा॑मसि ||

siṣāsátū rayīṇā́ṁ vā́jeṣv árvatām iva bháreṣu jigyúṣām asi

May they achieve riches, like steeds in races; may I be with the victors in battles.
