Specific examples are given: a carpenter seeks to repair something broken, a physician desires to treat someone injured, and a priest (Brahman) seeks a Soma sacrifice for Indra. This verse continues the theme of diverse professions, focusing on the artisan or craftsman (kārmāraḥ). It describes the tools and materials they use: seasoned plants (perhaps for fuel or treatment), bird feathers (possibly for fanning flames or as bellows), stones (for anvils or grinding), and intense heat ('dyúbhiḥ', luminous days/fires). This craftsman seeks a patron who possesses wealth (hiranyavantam). The verse again calls upon Soma to flow for Indra.
