You desire the roaring of the cows, and the yearning for them. You are the lord of the un-killable cows, and you bestow your favor upon them.

Stanza 8.69.3

Praise Indra, the guardian of the cows, with hymns. Praise him as the son of truth, the lord of the brave, whom you know.

Stanza 8.69.5

His swift horses have been harnessed and are placed on the sacred grass. Where together we will invoke him.

Let the Gargara sound loudly, let the Godha sing, let the Pinga make a sharp sound. The hymn is prepared for Indra.

Stanza 8.69.10

He who made the swift horses well-harnessed come forth to the worshipper, that swift leader, is that beautiful form who released the horses.

Stanza 8.69.14

With reverence, they come to him as their sovereign lord. They strive to bring him near for his favor and gifts.
