Stanza 7.29.1
अ॒यं सोम॑ इन्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॑ सुन्व॒ आ तु प्र या॑हि हरिव॒स्तदो॑काः | पिबा॒ त्व१॒॑स्य सुषु॑तस्य॒ चारो॒र्ददो॑ म॒घानि॑ मघवन्निया॒नः ||
ayáṁ sóma indra túbhyaṁ sunva ā́ tú prá yāhi harivas tádokāḥ píbā tv àsyá súṣutasya cā́ror dádo maghā́ni maghavann iyānáḥ
This Soma has been pressed for you, Indra. Come quickly, O Lord of the Bays, you who love this place. Drink this delightful, well-pressed Soma. O Maghavan, bestow wealth upon us when we ask.
The Rishi Vasistha addresses Indra, calling him "Lord of Bays" and "Maghavan" (giver of wealth), and states that the Soma libation has been prepared specifically for him. He urges Indra to come quickly to partake in the well-pressed, delightful Soma, and in return, to bestow riches upon the supplicants.

O Hero, O Indra, accepting our devotion and praise, come swiftly with your horses. Delight yourself in this libation. Listen to our prayers and praises.
The Rishi calls upon Indra, addressing him as "Hero" and invoking him with "Brahman" (in the sense of praise or prayer). He asks Indra to come swiftly with his horses, to accept the devotional offerings, and to enjoy the Soma libation. He also requests that Indra listen to their prayers and praises.

What is your satisfaction with our hymns? When, O Maghavan, will we serve you? I weave all my thoughts and intentions towards you. Then, O Indra, listen to these my calls.
The Rishi questions Indra about his satisfaction with their hymns of praise, asking when he will be pleased. He expresses a desire to serve Indra with all his thoughts and intentions, weaving praises for him. He then implores Indra to listen to these specific invocations he is offering.

utó ghā té puruṣyāā̀ íd āsan yéṣām pū́rveṣām áśr̥ṇor ŕ̥ṣīṇām ádhāháṁ tvā maghavañ johavīmi tváṁ na indrāsi prámatiḥ pitéva
Indeed, they were human beings, those past sages whose prayers you heard. Therefore, O Indra Maghavan, I call upon you. You are our protector, like a father.
The Rishi states that Indra has heard the prayers of past sages, who were also human. Because of this precedent, the Rishi now invokes Indra, calling him "Maghavan," and declares that Indra is their protector and father figure, implying a fatherly relationship where the father listens to his child's pleas.

The Rishi declares they will address Indra, the generous giver, so that he may bestow great wealth. He praises Indra as the best protector of those who praise him and worship him with their devotion. Finally, the Rishi, on behalf of his community, asks Indra and the gods to protect them always with well-being.
