The divine Soma juice, mixed with milk, is pressed out. Indra is accustomed to this. We awaken you, O Indra with the swift horses, through our sacrifices. Hear our hymn of praise amidst the intoxication of the Soma drink.
The Soma juice, mixed with milk, is pressed out. This offering is familiar to Indra. The devotee addresses Indra, the swift-horsed god, stating that they have awakened him with sacrifices and prayers, asking him to heed their praise during their joyous celebration of Soma.

They move towards the sacrifice, they prepare the sacred grass for the Soma drinkers. The Soma and the pressing stones are brought to the assembly. The famous, strong pressing stones, which are ready to help warriors, are brought forth.

May hostile spirits not harm us, O Indra, nor wicked beings with their schemes. May our powerful Indra subdue the enemies. May those who disrespect the divine not approach our sacred ritual.
The devotee prays to Indra that hostile spirits and wicked forces should not influence them. They invoke Indra, the mightiest, to subdue the enemies through his power. They ask that the impious not approach their sacred worship.

You surpass Earth and Heaven in power, O Indra. The regions cannot encompass your greatness. With your own strength, you destroyed Vṛtra; no enemy has ever found the limit of your might in battle.
The poet exclaims that Indra's power surpasses both earth and heaven. The vast regions cannot comprehend his greatness. Indra himself destroyed Vṛtra with his own strength and might, and no enemy could ever find the limit of his power in battle.
