prā́gnáye viśvaśúce dhiyaṁdhè 'suraghné mánma dhītím bharadhvam bháre havír ná barhíṣi prīṇānó vaiśvānarā́ya yátaye matīnā́m

Bring songs and thoughts, O people, to Agni, the slayer of Asuras, the light of all, and the bestower of intellect. Like an oblation on the sacred grass, I offer this prayer to please Vaiśvānara, the inspirer of thoughts.

Stanza 7.13.2

tvám agne śocíṣā śóśucāna ā́ ródasī apr̥ṇā jā́yamānaḥ tváṁ devā́m̐ abhíśaster amuñco vaíśvānara jātavedo mahitvā́

Agni, you, glowing brightly with your flame, filled the earth and sky when you were born. You, Vaiśvānara, Jātavedas (knower of births), with your greatness, freed the gods from accusations/curses.

Stanza 7.13.3

jātó yád agne bhúvanā vy ákhyaḥ paśū́n ná gopā́ íryaḥ párijmā vaíśvānara bráhmaṇe vinda gātúṁ yūyám pāta svastíbhiḥ sádā naḥ

Agni, when born, you surveyed all the worlds like a vigilant herdsman watching his cattle. Vaiśvānara, find the way for our devotion. May you all (gods) protect us always with blessings.
