yáthā hotar mánuṣo devátātā yajñébhiḥ sūno sahaso yájāsi evā́ no adyá samanā́ samānā́n uśánn agna uśató yakṣi devā́n

As, O Hotar (priest), you serve and sacrifice to the gods for men, O son of strength, so today, O Agni, bring together the united gods, and willingly accept our offerings, bringing the gods who desire them.

Stanza 6.4.2

sá no vibhā́vā cakṣáṇir ná vástor agnír vandā́ru védyaś cáno dhāt viśvā́yur yó amŕ̥to mártyeṣūṣarbhúd bhū́d átithir jātávedāḥ

May Agni, brilliant and observant, accept our praise like a beautiful dawn. May he, the all-pervading, immortal guest among mortals, known as Jātavedas, grant us favor.

Stanza 6.4.3

dyā́vo ná yásya panáyanty ábhvam bhā́sāṁsi vaste sū́ryo ná śukráḥ ví yá inóty ajáraḥ pāvakó 'śnasya cic chiśnathat pūrvyā́ṇi

Whose greatness the heavens indeed marvel at, bright like the sun, he clothes himself with splendor. He who, the eternal purifier, sends forth, has shattered even the ancient deeds of Aṣṇa.

Stanza 6.4.4

vadmā́ hí sūno ásy admasádvā cakré agnír janúṣā́jmā́nnam sá tváṁ na ūrjasana ū́rjaṁ dhā rā́jeva jer avr̥ké kṣeṣy antáḥ

You are indeed a singer, O son, a companion at the feast. Agni, by birth, has created sustenance for himself. Therefore, O bestower of strength, grant us strength. May we, like a king, conquer and dwell in a place free from enemies.

Stanza 6.4.5

nítikti yó vāraṇám ánnam átti vāyúr ná rā́ṣṭry áty ety aktū́n turyā́ma yás ta ādíśām árātīr átyo ná hrútaḥ pátataḥ parihrút

He who swiftly eats his solid food, and traverses the nights like Vayu (the wind) over kingdoms. May we overcome, O Agni, those who oppose your commands, like a horse that swiftly overpowers fleeing foes.

Stanza 6.4.6

ā́ sū́ryo ná bhānumádbhir arkaír ágne tatántha ródasī ví bhāsā́ citró nayat pári támāṁsy aktáḥ śocíṣā pátmann auśijó ná dī́yan

O Agni, like the sun with its bright rays, you have spread across the sky and earth with radiance. Like Auśija, he who is adorned and dispels darkness, moves swiftly with his flame.

Stanza 6.4.7

tvā́ṁ hí mandrátamam arkaśokaír vavr̥máhe máhi naḥ śróṣy agne índraṁ ná tvā śávasā devátā vāyúm pr̥ṇanti rā́dhasā nŕ̥tamāḥ

We choose you, O Agni, as most delightful for your brilliant praises. Hear our great praise! The best of men, through strength like Indra's and bounty like Vayu's, praise you.

Stanza 6.4.8

Now, O Agni, with harmless paths of wealth, lead us to well-being. Cross us over dangers. To the leaders and the singer, you give prosperity. May we rejoice for a hundred winters, with good children.
