    Stanza 3.27.1

    प्र वो॒ वाजा॑ अ॒भिद्य॑वो ह॒विष्म॑न्तो घृ॒ताच्या॑ | दे॒वाञ्जि॑गाति सुम्न॒युः ||

    prá vo vā́jā abhídyavo havíṣmanto ghr̥tā́cyā devā́ñ jigāti sumnayúḥ

    Friends, your powerful offerings, rich with ghee, are flying to the gods! Those who desire divine grace are sending them on their way.

    Stanza 3.27.2

    ईळे॑ अ॒ग्निं वि॑प॒श्चितं॑ गि॒रा य॒ज्ञस्य॒ साध॑नम् | श्रु॒ष्टी॒वानं॑ धि॒तावा॑नम् ||

    ī́ḷe agníṁ vipaścítaṁ girā́ yajñásya sā́dhanam śruṣṭīvā́naṁ dhitā́vānam

    I praise Agni, the wise and brilliant one, who understands prayers! He’s the one who makes the sacrifice work, the one who listens and holds all blessings.

    Stanza 3.27.3

    अग्ने॑ श॒केम॑ ते व॒यं यमं॑ दे॒वस्य॑ वा॒जिनः॑ | अति॒ द्वेषां॑सि तरेम ||

    ágne śakéma te vayáṁ yámaṁ devásya vājínaḥ áti dvéṣāṁsi tarema

    O Agni, may we be able to connect with you, the powerful god! Help us to overcome all our difficulties and enemies.

    Stanza 3.27.4

    स॒मि॒ध्यमा॑नो अध्व॒रे॒३॒॑ऽग्निः पा॑व॒क ईड्यः॑ | शो॒चिष्के॑श॒स्तमी॑महे ||

    samidhyámāno adhvarè 'gníḥ pāvaká ī́ḍyaḥ śocíṣkeśas tám īmahe

    Agni, the purifier, is lit up in the sacrifice! He is praised, and his hair is made of flames. We call upon him.

    Stanza 3.27.5

    पृ॒थु॒पाजा॒ अम॑र्त्यो घृ॒तनि॑र्णि॒क्स्वा॑हुतः | अ॒ग्निर्य॒ज्ञस्य॑ हव्य॒वाट् ||

    pr̥thupā́jā ámartyo ghr̥tánirṇik svāā̀hutaḥ agnír yajñásya havyavā́ṭ

    Agni, the immortal one, with his vast radiance and covered in ghee, is the well-worshipped carrier of our offerings.

    Stanza 3.27.6

    तं स॒बाधो॑ य॒तस्रु॑च इ॒त्था धि॒या य॒ज्ञव॑न्तः | आ च॑क्रुर॒ग्निमू॒तये॑ ||

    táṁ sabā́dho yatásruca itthā́ dhiyā́ yajñávantaḥ ā́ cakrur agním ūtáye

    Those performing the sacrifice, with ladles in hand and focused intention, have purposefully invoked Agni for our help.

    Stanza 3.27.7

    होता॑ दे॒वो अम॑र्त्यः पु॒रस्ता॑देति मा॒यया॑ | वि॒दथा॑नि प्रचो॒दय॑न् ||

    hótā devó ámartyaḥ purástād eti māyáyā vidáthāni pracodáyan

    The divine priest Agni, immortal and leading us, moves forward with his wondrous power, urging on the sacred rites.

    Stanza 3.27.8

    वा॒जी वाजे॑षु धीयतेऽध्व॒रेषु॒ प्र णी॑यते | विप्रो॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॒ साध॑नः ||

    vājī́ vā́jeṣu dhīyate 'dhvaréṣu prá ṇīyate vípro yajñásya sā́dhanaḥ

    The powerful Agni is present in all strengths and led forth in sacrifices. As a wise priest, he is the one who completes the ritual.

    Stanza 3.27.9

    धि॒या च॑क्रे॒ वरे॑ण्यो भू॒तानां॒ गर्भ॒मा द॑धे | दक्ष॑स्य पि॒तरं॒ तना॑ ||

    dhiyā́ cakre váreṇyo bhūtā́nāṁ gárbham ā́ dadhe dákṣasya pitáraṁ tánā

    This excellent one, Agni, was formed by our devotion. He holds the very seed of all beings and is the eternal father of creative power.

    Stanza 3.27.10

    नि त्वा॑ दधे॒ वरे॑ण्यं॒ दक्ष॑स्ये॒ळा स॑हस्कृत | अग्ने॑ सुदी॒तिमु॒शिज॑म् ||

    ní tvā dadhe váreṇyaṁ dákṣasyeḷā́ sahaskr̥ta ágne sudītím uśíjam

    I place you here, O excellent Agni, strengthened by divine nourishment and Daksha's power. O bright Agni, desired by the wise ones!

    Stanza 3.27.11

    अ॒ग्निं य॒न्तुर॑म॒प्तुर॑मृ॒तस्य॒ योगे॑ व॒नुषः॑ | विप्रा॒ वाजैः॒ समि॑न्धते ||

    agníṁ yantúram aptúram r̥tásya yóge vanúṣaḥ víprā vā́jaiḥ sám indhate

    The wise ones kindle Agni, the swift and powerful, who moves within the cosmic order, with their offerings during the sacrifice.

    Stanza 3.27.12

    ऊ॒र्जो नपा॑तमध्व॒रे दी॑दि॒वांस॒मुप॒ द्यवि॑ | अ॒ग्निमी॑ळे क॒विक्र॑तुम् ||

    ūrjó nápātam adhvaré dīdivā́ṁsam úpa dyávi agním īḷe kavíkratum

    I invoke Agni, the son of energy, who shines brightly in the sacrifice, reaching towards the heavens! He is the wise and powerful master of the ritual.

    Stanza 3.27.13

    ई॒ळेन्यो॑ नम॒स्य॑स्ति॒रस्तमां॑सि दर्श॒तः | सम॒ग्निरि॑ध्यते॒ वृषा॑ ||

    īḷényo namasyàs tirás támāṁsi darśatáḥ sám agnír idhyate vŕ̥ṣā

    Agni, worthy of praise and adoration, is visible even through the darkness. This strong Agni is being powerfully kindled.

    Stanza 3.27.14

    वृषो॑ अ॒ग्निः समि॑ध्य॒तेऽश्वो॒ न दे॑व॒वाह॑नः | तं ह॒विष्म॑न्त ईळते ||

    vŕ̥ṣo agníḥ sám idhyaté 'śvo ná devavā́hanaḥ táṁ havíṣmanta īḷate

    Agni, the strong one, is kindled like a divine horse that carries the gods. Those with offerings praise him.

    Stanza 3.27.15

    वृष॑णं त्वा व॒यं वृ॑ष॒न्वृष॑णः॒ समि॑धीमहि | अग्ने॒ दीद्य॑तं बृ॒हत् ||

    vŕ̥ṣaṇaṁ tvā vayáṁ vr̥ṣan vŕ̥ṣaṇaḥ sám idhīmahi ágne dī́dyatam br̥hát

    We, who are strong, will kindle you, O strong Agni! We will ignite you, the powerfully shining one, with great brilliance.
