Stanza 3.24.1
अग्ने॒ सह॑स्व॒ पृत॑ना अ॒भिमा॑ती॒रपा॑स्य | दु॒ष्टर॒स्तर॒न्नरा॑ती॒र्वर्चो॑ धा य॒ज्ञवा॑हसे ||
ágne sáhasva pŕ̥tanā abhímātīr ápāsya duṣṭáras tárann árātīr várco dhā yajñávāhase
Oh Agni, help us win our battles and push away those who plot against us. Overcome the difficult and harmful forces, and fill our worship with brilliance!
In this verse, the devotee is calling upon Agni, the fire god, to protect them. Agni, you are kindled with offerings and are immortal, the one who brings gods to feasts. Please accept our worship gladly!

O Agni, Son of Strength, you who are offered to and are always awake! With your brilliance, please come and sit upon this sacred grass of mine.

अग्ने॒ विश्वे॑भिर॒ग्निभि॑र्दे॒वेभि॑र्महया॒ गिरः॑ | य॒ज्ञेषु॒ य उ॑ चा॒यवः॑ ||
ágne víśvebhir agníbhir devébhir mahayā gíraḥ yajñéṣu yá u cāyávaḥ
O Agni, with all your powers and the gods, make our hymns greater! And recognize those who are devoted in the sacrifices.
This verse is a plea to Agni to amplify the hymns and prayers offered by the devotees. O Agni, grant the worshipper wealth, full of heroes and abundant! And give us many sons!
