या ओष॑धीः॒ पूर्वा॑ जा॒ता दे॒वेभ्य॑स्त्रियु॒गं पु॒रा | मनै॒ नु ब॒भ्रूणा॑म॒हं श॒तं धामा॑नि स॒प्त च॑ ||
yā́ óṣadhīḥ pū́rvā jātā́ devébhyas triyugám purā́ mánai nú babhrū́ṇām aháṁ śatáṁ dhā́māni saptá ca
I will now declare the hundred powers and seven virtues of those herbs that were born long ago, three ages before the gods, and which are brown in color.

Your dwelling is in the Ashvattha tree, and the Parṇa tree is made your dwelling. If you possess your full power, and heal this man, you will be wealth-winners.

Stanza 10.97.15
याः फ॒लिनी॒र्या अ॑फ॒ला अ॑पु॒ष्पा याश्च॑ पु॒ष्पिणीः॑ | बृह॒स्पति॑प्रसूता॒स्ता नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ||
yā́ḥ phalínīr yā́ aphalā́ apuṣpā́ yā́ś ca puṣpíṇīḥ bŕ̥haspátiprasūtās tā́ no muñcantv áṁhasaḥ
May the fruitful, the fruitless, the blossoming, and the non-blossoming herbs, empowered by Brihaspati, release us from affliction.
The speaker invokes all kinds of herbs – those that bear fruit, are fruitless, blossom, or do not blossom. He asks these herbs, empowered by Brihaspati, to release them from all troubles and suffering.

May they release me from the curse, from Varuna's wrath, from Yama's noose, and from all divine sin.
The speaker prays to be released from curses, from the consequences of Varuna's displeasure, from Yama's grasp, and from all divine evils and sins.

As the herbs descended from the sky, they said: The person whom we pervade while he is alive, will not suffer harm.

You, O herb, are the most excellent; the trees are your servants. May the one who harms us be under our control.
