praíté vadantu prá vayáṁ vadāma grā́vabhyo vā́caṁ vadatā vádadbhyaḥ yád adrayaḥ parvatāḥ sākám āśávaḥ ślókaṁ ghóṣam bhárathéndrāya somínaḥ

Let these speak out loudly; let us speak out aloud. To the pressing stones, the speaking ones, let us address our speech. When, O stones, O mountains, you swift ones, united with Soma, bring forth a loud sound for Indra!

Stanza 10.94.2

These speak like a hundred, like a thousand voices; they cry out with their green mouths. The well-made stones, with their skillful action, have reached the offering even before the Hotar priest.

Stanza 10.94.3

These speak, having found a sweet, delightful substance. They hum over the ripened, prepared food. Devouring the branch of the red tree, these bull-like ones have made a loud sound.

Stanza 10.94.4

They speak with the exhilarating drink, calling to Indra, having found the sweet substance. The wise ones, having embraced the sisters, danced, making the earth resound with their shouts.

Stanza 10.94.5

suparṇā́ vā́cam akratópa dyávy ākharé kŕ̥ṣṇā iṣirā́ anartiṣuḥ nyàṅ ní yanty úparasya niṣkr̥tám purū́ réto dadhire sūryaśvítaḥ

The winged beings have made their sound in the sky. The dark, rapid ones danced in the heavens. They descend to the lower stone's fixed place, emitting their plentiful, sun-like stream.

Stanza 10.94.6

Like powerful ones drawing, they came together. The harnessed, strong bulls, bearing the poles. Breathing hard and eating, they bellowed, their loud sounds resembling those of horses.

Stanza 10.94.7

dáśāvanibhyo dáśakakṣyebhyo dáśayoktrebhyo dáśayojanebhyaḥ dáśābhīśubhyo arcatājárebhyo dáśa dhúro dáśa yuktā́ váhadbhyaḥ

To the ten-working ones, the ten-belted ones, the ten-yoked ones, the ten-joined ones, To the ten-reined ones, the eternal ones, sing praise; To the ten-pole bearers, the ten-yoked ones.

Stanza 10.94.8

té ádrayo dáśayantrāsa āśávas téṣām ādhā́nam páry eti haryatám tá ū sutásya somyásyā́ndhaso 'ṁśóḥ pīyū́ṣam prathamásya bhejire

These stones, having ten restraints, swift ones, revolve around with a pleasant movement. They have first tasted the pressed Soma juice, its nourishing essence, and the first taste of the stalk.

Stanza 10.94.9

té somā́do hárī índrasya niṁsate 'ṁśúṁ duhánto ádhy āsate gávi tébhir dugdhám papivā́n somyám mádhv índro vardhate práthate vr̥ṣāyáte

These Soma-eaters approach Indra's bay-colored steeds. Draining the stalk, they sit on the cow's hide. Having drunk the Soma prepared by them, Indra grows, becomes famous, and is mighty.

Stanza 10.94.10

Strong is your stalk; you will indeed not be harmed. Always satisfied, you have refreshment. You are beautiful with great splendor. O stones, you have delighted in whose sacrifice.

Stanza 10.94.11

You are bored, not pierced; not loosened, not broken, immortal. Undiseased, eternal, moving strongly, unthirsty, well-nourished, without thirst.

Stanza 10.94.12

Like your fathers, you stand firm through the ages, desiring rest, not separating from your place. Untiring, swift, you have made the heavens and earth hear with your voice.

Stanza 10.94.13

tád íd vadanty ádrayo vimócane yā́mann añjaspā́ iva ghéd upabdíbhiḥ vápanto bī́jam iva dhānyākŕ̥taḥ pr̥ñcánti sómaṁ ná minanti bápsataḥ

This indeed the stones proclaim, at their separation, with their sounds. Like farmers sowing seed, they mix the Soma, and, devouring, do not diminish it.

Stanza 10.94.14

suté adhvaré ádhi vā́cam akratā́ krīḷáyo ná mātáraṁ tudántaḥ ví ṣū́ muñcā suṣuvúṣo manīṣā́ṁ ví vartantām ádrayaś cā́yamānāḥ

They have raised their voice for the pressed Soma and the sacrifice, striking the mother earth playfully. Release your thought, O you who have pressed! May the stones, being honored, be separated.
