य इ॒मा विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि॒ जुह्व॒दृषि॒र्होता॒ न्यसी॑दत्पि॒ता नः॑ | स आ॒शिषा॒ द्रवि॑णमि॒च्छमा॑नः प्रथम॒च्छदव॑राँ॒ आ वि॑वेश ||
yá imā́ víśvā bhúvanāni júhvad ŕ̥ṣir hótā ny ásīdat pitā́ naḥ sá āśíṣā dráviṇam ichámānaḥ prathamachád ávarām̐ ā́ viveśa
He who, as the seer and priest, offered all these worlds, our Father, sat down. He, desiring wealth through his prayer, entered the lower regions.
This verse introduces the divine craftsman, Vishvakarman, described as the "Father" of all existence. He is depicted as the Rsi (seer or sage) and the Hotar (officiant priest) who performs the cosmic sacrifice (yajna), offering all existing worlds. With eyes on all sides, mouths on all sides, arms on all sides, and feet on all sides, this one God, generating the earth and sky, blows them together with his arms as if with wings.
This verse describes Vishvakarman's omnipresence and divine nature. He possesses eyes, mouths, arms, and feet in all directions, signifying his all-encompassing awareness and ability to act everywhere. As the sole God, he fashions and unites the earth and heaven, using his powerful arms as if they were wings.
