ā́ va r̥ñjasa ūrjā́ṁ vyùṣṭiṣv índram marúto ródasī anaktana ubhé yáthā no áhanī sacābhúvā sádaḥ-sado varivasyā́ta udbhídā

O Indra and Maruts, O Heaven and Earth, anoint yourselves with strength and power. May both Day and Night, in unison, attend to us in every sacred assembly, and may they bring us well-being from the very beginning.

Stanza 10.76.2

tád u śréṣṭhaṁ sávanaṁ sunotanā́tyo ná hástayato ádriḥ sotári vidád dhy àryó abhíbhūti paúṁsyam mahó rāyé cit tarute yád árvataḥ

Press this excellent libation! The pressing stone, like a hand-guided horse, extracts the essence. May it achieve the prowess that conquers the foe and the speed of a horse for great riches.

Stanza 10.76.3

This pressing, which the stone yields, removes our flaws, just as in the past it brought paths to Manu. In the Soma-pressing, with the shining, cattle-nourishing substance, the performers of the sacrifice (implied) have established the oblations.

Stanza 10.76.4

ápa hata rakṣáso bhaṅgurā́vata skabhāyáta nírr̥tiṁ sédhatā́matim ā́ no rayíṁ sárvavīraṁ sunotana devāvyàm bharata ślókam adrayaḥ

O stones, drive away the demons! Keep away misfortune and poverty. Bring us abundant wealth, rich in all kinds of progeny, and carry forth this song to the gods.

Stanza 10.76.5

diváś cid ā́ vó 'mavattarebhyo vibhvánā cid āśvàpastarebhyaḥ vāyóś cid ā́ sómarabhastarebhyo 'gnéś cid arca pitukŕ̥ttarebhyaḥ

To you, who are more powerful than the heavens, more swiftly moving than Vibhvan, more rapidly seizing Soma than Vayu, and more nourishing than Agni, we offer praise.

Stanza 10.76.6

bhurántu no yaśásaḥ sótv ándhaso grā́vāṇo vācā́ divítā divítmatā náro yátra duhaté kā́myam mádhv āghoṣáyanto abhíto mithastúraḥ

May the glorious pressing stones bring forth for us the Soma-juice, with their divine power and resonance. Where the men draw forth the desired essence with shouts of joy, striking the sweet essence.

Stanza 10.76.7

sunvánti sómaṁ rathirā́so ádrayo nír asya rásaṁ gavíṣo duhanti té duhánty ū́dhar upasécanāya káṁ náro havyā́ ná marjayanta āsábhiḥ

The swift pressing stones press the Soma; the men, eager for the prize, draw forth its essence like milk from an udder, filling the vessel. They purify the oblations with their mouths.

Stanza 10.76.8

eté naraḥ svápaso abhūtana yá índrāya sunuthá sómam adrayaḥ vāmáṁ-vāmaṁ vo divyā́ya dhā́mne vásu-vasu vaḥ pā́rthivāya sunvaté

O men, you have become skillful workers, you who press the Soma for Indra, O stones! May your best possessions go to the divine sphere, and your wealth to the earthly worshipper who presses.
