Stanza 10.62.1

ये य॒ज्ञेन॒ दक्षि॑णया॒ सम॑क्ता॒ इन्द्र॑स्य स॒ख्यम॑मृत॒त्वमा॑न॒श | तेभ्यो॑ भ॒द्रम॑ङ्गिरसो वो अस्तु॒ प्रति॑ गृभ्णीत मान॒वं सु॑मेधसः ||

yé yajñéna dákṣiṇayā sámaktā índrasya sakhyám amr̥tatvám ānaśá tébhyo bhadrám aṅgiraso vo astu práti gr̥bhṇīta mānaváṁ sumedhasaḥ

O wise Angirases, to you who, through the sacrifice and its offerings, have attained Indra's friendship and immortality, may there be good fortune. Accept this descendant of Manu.

Stanza 10.62.2

य उ॒दाज॑न्पि॒तरो॑ गो॒मयं॒ वस्वृ॒तेनाभि॑न्दन्परिवत्स॒रे व॒लम् | दी॒र्घा॒यु॒त्वम॑ङ्गिरसो वो अस्तु॒ प्रति॑ गृभ्णीत मान॒वं सु॑मेधसः ||

yá udā́jan pitáro gomáyaṁ vásv r̥ténā́bhindan parivatsaré valám dīrghāyutvám aṅgiraso vo astu práti gr̥bhṇīta mānaváṁ sumedhasaḥ

The Fathers, who brought forth wealth and cattle, and by cosmic order ('Rta') broke through limitations ('Vala'), may long life be yours, O Angirases. Accept this descendant of Manu.

Stanza 10.62.3

य ऋ॒तेन॒ सूर्य॒मारो॑हयन्दि॒व्यप्र॑थयन्पृथि॒वीं मा॒तरं॒ वि | सु॒प्र॒जा॒स्त्वम॑ङ्गिरसो वो अस्तु॒ प्रति॑ गृभ्णीत मान॒वं सु॑मेधसः ||

yá r̥téna sū́ryam ā́rohayan divy áprathayan pr̥thivī́m mātáraṁ ví suprajāstvám aṅgiraso vo astu práti gr̥bhṇīta mānaváṁ sumedhasaḥ

By cosmic order ('Rta'), you raised the Sun to the sky and spread out the Earth, the mother. May you have abundant offspring, O Angirases. Accept this descendant of Manu.

Stanza 10.62.4

अ॒यं नाभा॑ वदति व॒ल्गु वो॑ गृ॒हे देव॑पुत्रा ऋषय॒स्तच्छृ॑णोतन | सु॒ब्र॒ह्म॒ण्यम॑ङ्गिरसो वो अस्तु॒ प्रति॑ गृभ्णीत मान॒वं सु॑मेधसः ||

ayáṁ nā́bhā vadati valgú vo gr̥hé dévaputrā r̥ṣayas tác chr̥ṇotana subrahmaṇyám aṅgiraso vo astu práti gr̥bhṇīta mānaváṁ sumedhasaḥ

This kinsman speaks pleasant words in your home; O divine children, O Rishis, listen to that. May excellence in sacred praise be yours, O Angirases. Accept this descendant of Manu.

Stanza 10.62.5

विरू॑पास॒ इदृष॑य॒स्त इद्ग॑म्भी॒रवे॑पसः | ते अङ्गि॑रसः सू॒नव॒स्ते अ॒ग्नेः परि॑ जज्ञिरे ||

vírūpāsa íd ŕ̥ṣayas tá íd gambhīrávepasaḥ té áṅgirasaḥ sūnávas té agnéḥ pári jajñire

These Rishis, diverse in form and profound in thought, are indeed the sons of Angiras. They have sprung forth from Agni.

Stanza 10.62.6

ये अ॒ग्नेः परि॑ जज्ञि॒रे विरू॑पासो दि॒वस्परि॑ | नव॑ग्वो॒ नु दश॑ग्वो॒ अङ्गि॑रस्तमः॒ सचा॑ दे॒वेषु॑ मंहते ||

yé agnéḥ pári jajñiré vírūpāso divás pári návagvo nú dáśagvo áṅgirastamo sácā devéṣu maṁhate

They who sprang from Agni and from the heavens, diverse in form, Navagva and Daśagva, the most excellent Angiras, thrive together with the Gods.

Stanza 10.62.7

इन्द्रे॑ण यु॒जा निः सृ॑जन्त वा॒घतो॑ व्र॒जं गोम॑न्तम॒श्विन॑म् | स॒हस्रं॑ मे॒ दद॑तो अष्टक॒र्ण्य१॒॑ः श्रवो॑ दे॒वेष्व॑क्रत ||

índreṇa yujā́ níḥ sr̥janta vāgháto vrajáṁ gómantam aśvínam sahásram me dádato aṣṭakarṇyàḥ śrávo devéṣv akrata

With Indra as associate, the priests released the enclosure full of cattle and horses. Those who gave a thousand (gifts), with eight-wheeled vehicles, achieved renown among the Gods.

Stanza 10.62.8

प्र नू॒नं जा॑यताम॒यं मनु॒स्तोक्मे॑व रोहतु | यः स॒हस्रं॑ श॒ताश्वं॑ स॒द्यो दा॒नाय॒ मंह॑ते ||

prá nūnáṁ jāyatām ayám mánus tókmeva rohatu yáḥ sahásraṁ śatā́śvaṁ sadyó dānā́ya máṁhate

May this Manu's (progeny) grow; may he flourish like a young sprout. He who gives a thousand (cows) and a hundred horses at once, thrives.

Stanza 10.62.9

न तम॑श्नोति॒ कश्च॒न दि॒व इ॑व॒ सान्वा॒रभ॑म् | सा॒व॒र्ण्यस्य॒ दक्षि॑णा॒ वि सिन्धु॑रिव पप्रथे ||

ná tám aśnoti káś caná divá iva sā́nv ārábham sāvarṇyásya dákṣiṇā ví síndhur iva paprathe

No one reaches him, as if one tried to grasp the peaks of heaven. The sacrificial gift of Sâvarṇya spread out like a river.

Stanza 10.62.10

उ॒त दा॒सा प॑रि॒विषे॒ स्मद्दि॑ष्टी॒ गोप॑रीणसा | यदु॑स्तु॒र्वश्च॑ मामहे ||

utá dāsā́ parivíṣe smáddiṣṭī góparīṇasā yádus turváś ca māmahe

Yadu and Turva, along with two Dasa servants, well-disposed and managing cattle, have been invoked.

Stanza 10.62.11

स॒ह॒स्र॒दा ग्रा॑म॒णीर्मा रि॑ष॒न्मनुः॒ सूर्ये॑णास्य॒ यत॑मानैतु॒ दक्षि॑णा | साव॑र्णेर्दे॒वाः प्र ति॑र॒न्त्वायु॒र्यस्मि॒न्नश्रा॑न्ता॒ अस॑नाम॒ वाज॑म् ||

sahasradā́ grāmaṇī́r mā́ riṣan mánuḥ sū́ryeṇāsya yátamānaitu dákṣiṇā sā́varṇer devā́ḥ prá tirantv ā́yur yásminn áśrāntā ásanāma vā́jam

May Manu, the community leader and great giver, not perish. May his generative power flourish, rivaling the Sun. May the Gods extend the life of Sâvarṇi, with whom we have shared unwearied prosperity and abundance.
