May the radiant and vast one drink the sweet Soma-nectar, granting unbroken life to the patron of the sacrifice. He who, driven by the wind and protecting with his essence, nourishes progeny and shines expansively in many ways.
This verse is an invocation to a deity, likely Surya (the Sun), who is addressed with radiant and expansive epithets. The plea is for this divine being to drink the Soma-nectar, bestowing long, uninjured life upon the patron of the sacrifice. The deity is described as being wind-propelled and self-protecting, nurturing and expanding progeny, and shining forth with great glory.
