अ॒यम॑ग्ने जरि॒ता त्वे अ॑भू॒दपि॒ सह॑सः सूनो न॒ह्य१॒॑न्यदस्त्याप्य॑म् | भ॒द्रं हि शर्म॑ त्रि॒वरू॑थ॒मस्ति॑ त आ॒रे हिंसा॑ना॒मप॑ दि॒द्युमा कृ॑धि ||
ayám agne jaritā́ tvé abhūd ápi sáhasaḥ sūno nahy ànyád ásty ā́pyam bhadráṁ hí śárma trivárūtham ásti ta āré híṁsānām ápa didyúm ā́ kr̥dhi
O Agni, this singer of praise is with you. Son of Strength, he has no other refuge. For him, you are a blessed shelter with triple protection. Keep away the destructive lightning.

O Agni, your birth is in the flowing stream, and you embrace all worlds like a companion. Our horses, and our prayers/thoughts, advance victoriously, moving forward by themselves like a herd-guard.

As you move over hills and plains, devouring all, you separate like an army eager for spoils. When the wind fans your flame, you consume the earth like a barber shaving a beard.
