Stanza 10.103.1

आ॒शुः शिशा॑नो वृष॒भो न भी॒मो घ॑नाघ॒नः क्षोभ॑णश्चर्षणी॒नाम् | सं॒क्रन्द॑नोऽनिमि॒ष ए॑कवी॒रः श॒तं सेना॑ अजयत्सा॒कमिन्द्रः॑ ||

āśúḥ śíśāno vr̥ṣabhó ná bhīmó ghanāghanáḥ kṣóbhaṇaś carṣaṇīnā́m saṁkrándano 'nimiṣá ekavīráḥ śatáṁ sénā ajayat sākám índraḥ

Swift, sharpening himself like a bull, formidable and terrifying, agitating the people, alert and watchful, a hero among heroes, Indra at once conquered a hundred armies.

Stanza 10.103.2

सं॒क्रन्द॑नेनानिमि॒षेण॑ जि॒ष्णुना॑ युत्का॒रेण॑ दुश्च्यव॒नेन॑ धृ॒ष्णुना॑ | तदिन्द्रे॑ण जयत॒ तत्स॑हध्वं॒ युधो॑ नर॒ इषु॑हस्तेन॒ वृष्णा॑ ||

saṁkrándanenānimiṣéṇa jiṣṇúnā yutkāréṇa duścyavanéna dhr̥ṣṇúnā tád índreṇa jayata tát sahadhvaṁ yúdho nara íṣuhastena vŕ̥ṣṇā

With Indra, who roars and is ever watchful, the victorious and bold one, steady in battle, conquer, O warriors, and overcome them, you who are strong and bear arrows.

Stanza 10.103.3

स इषु॑हस्तैः॒ स नि॑ष॒ङ्गिभि॑र्व॒शी संस्र॑ष्टा॒ स युध॒ इन्द्रो॑ ग॒णेन॑ | सं॒सृ॒ष्ट॒जित्सो॑म॒पा बा॑हुश॒र्ध्यु१॒॑ग्रध॑न्वा॒ प्रति॑हिताभि॒रस्ता॑ ||

sá íṣuhastaiḥ sá niṣaṅgíbhir vaśī́ sáṁsraṣṭā sá yúdha índro gaṇéna saṁsr̥ṣṭajít somapā́ bāhuśardhy ùgrádhanvā prátihitābhir ástā

He, with his arrow-holders and quiver-bearers, Indra, the controller, the combiner, the conqueror of battles, the Soma-drinker, strong-armed, with a fierce bow, strikes with well-aimed arrows.

Stanza 10.103.4

बृह॑स्पते॒ परि॑ दीया॒ रथे॑न रक्षो॒हामित्राँ॑ अप॒बाध॑मानः | प्र॒भ॒ञ्जन्त्सेनाः॑ प्रमृ॒णो यु॒धा जय॑न्न॒स्माक॑मेध्यवि॒ता रथा॑नाम् ||

bŕ̥haspate pári dīyā ráthena rakṣohā́mítrām̐ apabā́dhamānaḥ prabhañján sénāḥ pramr̥ṇó yudhā́ jáyann asmā́kam edhy avitā́ ráthānām

O Brihaspati, come around with your chariot, destroying demons and driving away enemies, crushing armies, and conquering in battle. Be our protector of chariots and our aid in fights.

Stanza 10.103.5

ब॒ल॒वि॒ज्ञा॒यः स्थवि॑रः॒ प्रवी॑रः॒ सह॑स्वान्वा॒जी सह॑मान उ॒ग्रः | अ॒भिवी॑रो अ॒भिस॑त्वा सहो॒जा जैत्र॑मिन्द्र॒ रथ॒मा ति॑ष्ठ गो॒वित् ||

balavijñāyá stháviraḥ právīraḥ sáhasvān vājī́ sáhamāna ugráḥ abhívīro abhísatvā sahojā́ jaítram indra rátham ā́ tiṣṭha govít

Recognized for strength, firm, foremost fighter, powerful, winning, overpowering, formidable, with heroes around, all-conquering, strong by nature, Indra, mount your conquering chariot, gaining wealth.

Stanza 10.103.6

गो॒त्र॒भिदं॑ गो॒विदं॒ वज्र॑बाहुं॒ जय॑न्त॒मज्म॑ प्रमृ॒णन्त॒मोज॑सा | इ॒मं स॑जाता॒ अनु॑ वीरयध्व॒मिन्द्रं॑ सखायो॒ अनु॒ सं र॑भध्वम् ||

gotrabhídaṁ govídaṁ vájrabāhuṁ jáyantam ájma pramr̥ṇántam ójasā imáṁ sajātā ánu vīrayadhvam índraṁ sakhāyo ánu sáṁ rabhadhvam

He who breaks strongholds, wins wealth, has a thunderbolt-arm, conquers, and crushes armies with might. Follow him, O kinsmen, act like heroes; O friends, rally around Indra!

Stanza 10.103.7

अ॒भि गो॒त्राणि॒ सह॑सा॒ गाह॑मानोऽद॒यो वी॒रः श॒तम॑न्यु॒रिन्द्रः॑ | दु॒श्च्य॒व॒नः पृ॑तना॒षाळ॑यु॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ऽस्माकं॒ सेना॑ अवतु॒ प्र यु॒त्सु ||

abhí gotrā́ṇi sáhasā gā́hamāno 'dayó vīráḥ śatámanyur índraḥ duścyavanáḥ pr̥tanāṣā́ḷ ayudhyò 'smā́kaṁ sénā avatu prá yutsú

Penetrating the strongholds with might, Indra, the pitiless hero, wild with anger, the conqueror of battles, the unshakeable, may he protect our armies in the fights.

Stanza 10.103.8

इन्द्र॑ आसां ने॒ता बृह॒स्पति॒र्दक्षि॑णा य॒ज्ञः पु॒र ए॑तु॒ सोमः॑ | दे॒व॒से॒नाना॑मभिभञ्जती॒नां जय॑न्तीनां म॒रुतो॑ य॒न्त्वग्र॑म् ||

índra āsāṁ netā́ bŕ̥haspátir dákṣiṇā yajñáḥ purá etu sómaḥ devasenā́nām abhibhañjatīnā́ṁ jáyantīnām marúto yantv ágram

Let Indra lead these; let Brihaspati, Dakshina, and the sacrifice go forward; let Soma too. Let the Maruts march at the head of the conquering, destroying hosts of the gods.

Stanza 10.103.9

इन्द्र॑स्य॒ वृष्णो॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ राज्ञ॑ आदि॒त्यानां॑ म॒रुतां॒ शर्ध॑ उ॒ग्रम् | म॒हाम॑नसां भुवनच्य॒वानां॒ घोषो॑ दे॒वानां॒ जय॑ता॒मुद॑स्थात् ||

índrasya vŕ̥ṣṇo váruṇasya rā́jña ādityā́nām marútāṁ śárdha ugrám mahā́manasām bhuvanacyavā́nāṁ ghóṣo devā́nāṁ jáyatām úd asthāt

The mighty force of Indra the bull, of King Varuṇa, of the Ādityas and Maruts, their great and world-shaking shout has arisen, the sound of the gods who conquer.

Stanza 10.103.10

उद्ध॑र्षय मघव॒न्नायु॑धा॒न्युत्सत्व॑नां माम॒कानां॒ मनां॑सि | उद्वृ॑त्रहन्वा॒जिनां॒ वाजि॑ना॒न्युद्रथा॑नां॒ जय॑तां यन्तु॒ घोषाः॑ ||

úd dharṣaya maghavann ā́yudhāny út sátvanām māmakā́nām mánāṁsi úd vr̥trahan vājínāṁ vā́jināny úd ráthānāṁ jáyatāṁ yantu ghóṣāḥ

Inspire our weapons, O Maghavan; elevate the minds of our warriors. Urge on the might of our swift steeds, O Vr̥tra-slayer; let the shouts of our conquering chariots rise up!

Stanza 10.103.11

अ॒स्माक॒मिन्द्रः॒ समृ॑तेषु ध्व॒जेष्व॒स्माकं॒ या इष॑व॒स्ता ज॑यन्तु | अ॒स्माकं॑ वी॒रा उत्त॑रे भवन्त्व॒स्माँ उ॑ देवा अवता॒ हवे॑षु ||

asmā́kam índraḥ sámr̥teṣu dhvajéṣv asmā́kaṁ yā́ íṣavas tā́ jayantu asmā́kaṁ vīrā́ úttare bhavantv asmā́m̐ u devā avatā háveṣu

May Indra help us among our gathered banners; may our arrows be victorious. May our heroes be superior; may the gods protect us in the battles.

Stanza 10.103.12

अ॒मीषां॑ चि॒त्तं प्र॑तिलो॒भय॑न्ती गृहा॒णाङ्गा॑न्यप्वे॒ परे॑हि | अ॒भि प्रेहि॒ निर्द॑ह हृ॒त्सु शोकै॑र॒न्धेना॒मित्रा॒स्तम॑सा सचन्ताम् ||

amī́ṣāṁ cittám pratilobháyantī gr̥hāṇā́ṅgāny apve párehi abhí préhi nír daha hr̥tsú śókair andhénāmítrās támasā sacantām

Confusing the minds of the enemies, seize their limbs, O Apvā, and depart. Attack, burn them with griefs in their hearts; may the enemies be joined with blinding darkness.

Stanza 10.103.13

प्रेता॒ जय॑ता नर॒ इन्द्रो॑ वः॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतु | उ॒ग्रा वः॑ सन्तु बा॒हवो॑ऽनाधृ॒ष्या यथास॑थ ||

prétā jáyatā nara índro vaḥ śárma yachatu ugrā́ vaḥ santu bāhávo 'nādhr̥ṣyā́ yáthā́satha

Advance, conquer, O heroes! May Indra give you protection. May your arms be strong, may you be unassailable.
