Look at these powerful beings, like fast chariots, sons of Rudra! They make the heavens and earth grow. They love to celebrate in gatherings, these strong and energetic ones.

jihmáṁ nunudre 'vatáṁ táyā diśā́siñcann útsaṁ gótamāya tr̥ṣṇáje ā́ gachantīm ávasā citrábhānavaḥ kā́maṁ víprasya tarpayanta dhā́mabhiḥ
They pushed the cloud sideways towards us, and poured out water for the thirsty Gotama. Coming with their brilliant light and aid, O Maruts, you satisfied the sage's longing with your powers.
The Maruts are described as moving the cloud in a specific direction, pouring forth a spring for the thirsty sage Gotama. Their arrival, full of brilliant light and power, fulfills the desires of the seer.

Grant us, O Maruts, your three-layered shelters that you give to those who praise and offer! Extend these same blessings to us, heroes, and give us wealth with brave offspring!
The hymn requests the Maruts to bestow their protective shelters, which are threefold and available to those who praise and offer. They are asked to extend these blessings to the worshippers and grant them wealth and strong progeny.
