Stanza 1.67.1

वने॑षु जा॒युर्मर्ते॑षु मि॒त्रो वृ॑णी॒ते श्रु॒ष्टिं राजे॑वाजु॒र्यम् ||

váneṣu jāyúr márteṣu mitró vr̥ṇīté śruṣṭíṁ rā́jevājuryám

Friend Mitra, powerful in the wilderness and among humans, is chosen, just like a king, for his unstoppable might.

Stanza 1.67.2

क्षेमो॒ न सा॒धुः क्रतु॒र्न भ॒द्रो भुव॑त्स्वा॒धीर्होता॑ हव्य॒वाट् ||

kṣémo ná sādhúḥ krátur ná bhadró bhúvat svādhī́r hótā havyavā́ṭ

May he be like a peaceful refuge, like a wise guide, a priest who carries offerings well, bringing good fortune.

Stanza 1.67.3

हस्ते॒ दधा॑नो नृ॒म्णा विश्वा॒न्यमे॑ दे॒वान्धा॒द्गुहा॑ नि॒षीद॑न् ||

háste dádhāno nr̥mṇā́ víśvāny áme devā́n dhād gúhā niṣī́dan

Holding all human might in his hand, he hides away, causing the gods to fear.

Stanza 1.67.4

वि॒दन्ती॒मत्र॒ नरो॑ धियं॒धा हृ॒दा यत्त॒ष्टान्मन्त्राँ॒ अशं॑सन् ||

vidántīm átra náro dhiyaṁdhā́ hr̥dā́ yát taṣṭā́n mántrām̐ áśaṁsan

Men who understand find him there, when they recite the heartfelt spells they have created.

Stanza 1.67.5

अ॒जो न क्षां दा॒धार॑ पृथि॒वीं त॒स्तम्भ॒ द्यां मन्त्रे॑भिः स॒त्यैः ||

ajó ná kṣā́ṁ dādhā́ra pr̥thivī́ṁ tastámbha dyā́m mántrebhiḥ satyaíḥ

Like the Unborn, he upholds the earth and steadies the sky with true, powerful spells.

Stanza 1.67.6

प्रि॒या प॒दानि॑ प॒श्वो नि पा॑हि वि॒श्वायु॑रग्ने गु॒हा गुहं॑ गाः ||

priyā́ padā́ni paśvó ní pāhi viśvā́yur agne guhā́ gúhaṁ gāḥ

O Agni, the life of all, protect the dear pathways of the cattle; you have moved from one hidden place to another.

Stanza 1.67.7

य ईं॑ चि॒केत॒ गुहा॒ भव॑न्त॒मा यः स॒साद॒ धारा॑मृ॒तस्य॑ ||

yá īṁ cikéta gúhā bhávantam ā́ yáḥ sasā́da dhā́rām r̥tásya

He who perceives him, the hidden one, and has approached the flow of cosmic truth, understands.

Stanza 1.67.8

वि ये चृ॒तन्त्यृ॒ता सप॑न्त॒ आदिद्वसू॑नि॒ प्र व॑वाचास्मै ||

ví yé cr̥tánty r̥tā́ sápanta ā́d íd vásūni prá vavācāsmai

Those who truly serve and engage with cosmic order, to them he reveals great riches.

Stanza 1.67.9

वि यो वी॒रुत्सु॒ रोध॑न्महि॒त्वोत प्र॒जा उ॒त प्र॒सूष्व॒न्तः ||

ví yó vīrútsu ródhan mahitvótá prajā́ utá prasū́ṣv antáḥ

He grows mightily within the plants, and within children, and within the young of animals.

Stanza 1.67.10

चित्ति॑र॒पां दमे॑ वि॒श्वायुः॒ सद्मे॑व॒ धीराः॑ स॒म्माय॑ चक्रुः ||

cíttir apā́ṁ dáme viśvā́yuḥ sádmeva dhī́rāḥ sammā́ya cakruḥ

His splendor is in the home of waters, the life of all; the wise sages have made him a dwelling place.
