    Stanza 1.157.1

    अबो॑ध्य॒ग्निर्ज्म उदे॑ति॒ सूर्यो॒ व्यु१॒॑षाश्च॒न्द्रा म॒ह्या॑वो अ॒र्चिषा॑ | आयु॑क्षाताम॒श्विना॒ यात॑वे॒ रथं॒ प्रासा॑वीद्दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता जग॒त्पृथ॑क् ||

    ábodhy agnír jmá úd eti sū́ryo vy ùṣā́ś candrā́ mahy āā̀vo arcíṣā ā́yukṣātām aśvínā yā́tave rátham prā́sāvīd deváḥ savitā́ jágat pŕ̥thak

    Look, Agni is awake! The sun is rising from the earth, and the radiant Dawn has burst forth with her amazing light. The Ashvins have gotten their chariot ready to travel, and the god Savitr has set the world in motion, each thing moving uniquely.

    Stanza 1.157.2

    यद्यु॒ञ्जाथे॒ वृष॑णमश्विना॒ रथं॑ घृ॒तेन॑ नो॒ मधु॑ना क्ष॒त्रमु॑क्षतम् | अ॒स्माकं॒ ब्रह्म॒ पृत॑नासु जिन्वतं व॒यं धना॒ शूर॑साता भजेमहि ||

    yád yuñjā́the vŕ̥ṣaṇam aśvinā ráthaṁ ghr̥téna no mádhunā kṣatrám ukṣatam asmā́kam bráhma pŕ̥tanāsu jinvataṁ vayáṁ dhánā śū́rasātā bhajemahi

    Oh Ashvins, when you get your mighty chariot ready, please bless us with strength and sweetness! Empower our spiritual strength in battles, so we can win riches in the great fights.

    Stanza 1.157.3

    अ॒र्वाङ्त्रि॑च॒क्रो म॑धु॒वाह॑नो॒ रथो॑ जी॒राश्वो॑ अ॒श्विनो॑र्यातु॒ सुष्टु॑तः | त्रि॒व॒न्धु॒रो म॒घवा॑ वि॒श्वसौ॑भगः॒ शं न॒ आ व॑क्षद्द्वि॒पदे॒ चतु॑ष्पदे ||

    arvā́ṅ tricakró madhuvā́hano rátho jīrā́śvo aśvínor yātu súṣṭutaḥ trivandhuró maghávā viśvásaubhagaḥ śáṁ na ā́ vakṣad dvipáde cátuṣpade

    Come near, O Ashvins, with your praised chariot! It has three wheels, carries sweetness, and is pulled by fast horses. This chariot, with its three seats and great wealth, brings us good fortune, for both people and animals.

    Stanza 1.157.4

    आ न॒ ऊर्जं॑ वहतमश्विना यु॒वं मधु॑मत्या नः॒ कश॑या मिमिक्षतम् | प्रायु॒स्तारि॑ष्टं॒ नी रपां॑सि मृक्षतं॒ सेध॑तं॒ द्वेषो॒ भव॑तं सचा॒भुवा॑ ||

    ā́ na ū́rjaṁ vahatam aśvinā yuvám mádhumatyā naḥ káśayā mimikṣatam prā́yus tā́riṣṭaṁ nī́ rápāṁsi mr̥kṣataṁ sédhataṁ dvéṣo bhávataṁ sacābhúvā

    Ashvins, bring us strength! With your honey-dripping whip, bless us. Help us live longer, wash away our mistakes, drive away our enemies, and always stay with us.

    Stanza 1.157.5

    यु॒वं ह॒ गर्भं॒ जग॑तीषु धत्थो यु॒वं विश्वे॑षु॒ भुव॑नेष्व॒न्तः | यु॒वम॒ग्निं च॑ वृषणाव॒पश्च॒ वन॒स्पतीँ॑रश्विना॒वैर॑येथाम् ||

    yuváṁ ha gárbhaṁ jágatīṣu dhattho yuváṁ víśveṣu bhúvaneṣv antáḥ yuvám agníṁ ca vr̥ṣaṇāv apáś ca vánaspátīm̐r aśvināv aírayethām

    You two place the life-germ within all beings. You are present inside all worlds. You two also released fire, waters, and the forest spirits.

    Stanza 1.157.6

    यु॒वं ह॑ स्थो भि॒षजा॑ भेष॒जेभि॒रथो॑ ह स्थो र॒थ्या॒३॒॑ राथ्ये॑भिः | अथो॑ ह क्ष॒त्रमधि॑ धत्थ उग्रा॒ यो वां॑ ह॒विष्मा॒न्मन॑सा द॒दाश॑ ||

    yuváṁ ha stho bhiṣájā bheṣajébhir átho ha stho rathyāā̀ rā́thyebhiḥ átho ha kṣatrám ádhi dhattha ugrā yó vāṁ havíṣmān mánasā dadā́śa

    You two are like doctors with healing medicines! You are also expert charioteers. You powerful ones, grant authority to the one who devotedly offers you gifts from their heart.
