Look, Agni is awake! The sun is rising from the earth, and the radiant Dawn has burst forth with her amazing light. The Ashvins have gotten their chariot ready to travel, and the god Savitr has set the world in motion, each thing moving uniquely.
This verse describes the glorious dawn, a new beginning! The fire god Agni is awakened, the sun, Surya, rises from the earth, and the beautiful Dawn, Ushas, shines brightly. The divine twins, the Ashvins, are preparing their chariot for their journey, and the god Savitr is setting all of creation in motion, each part in its own way.
