Stanza 1.11.1

इन्द्रं॒ विश्वा॑ अवीवृधन्त्समु॒द्रव्य॑चसं॒ गिरः॑ | र॒थीत॑मं र॒थीनां॒ वाजा॑नां॒ सत्प॑तिं॒ पति॑म् ||

índraṁ víśvā avīvr̥dhan samudrávyacasaṁ gíraḥ rathī́tamaṁ rathī́nāṁ vā́jānāṁ sátpatim pátim

All the songs have magnified Indra, whose reach is like the ocean, the greatest among chariot-riders, the lord of strengths, the lord!

Stanza 1.11.2

स॒ख्ये त॑ इन्द्र वा॒जिनो॒ मा भे॑म शवसस्पते | त्वाम॒भि प्र णो॑नुमो॒ जेता॑र॒मप॑राजितम् ||

sakhyé ta indra vājíno mā́ bhema śavasas pate tvā́m abhí prá ṇonumo jétāram áparājitam

Indra, in friendship with you, the powerful one, we should not fear. We glorify you, the ultimate winner, the undefeated!

Stanza 1.11.3

पू॒र्वीरिन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयो॒ न वि द॑स्यन्त्यू॒तयः॑ | यदी॒ वाज॑स्य॒ गोम॑तः स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ मंह॑ते म॒घम् ||

pūrvī́r índrasya rātáyo ná ví dasyanty ūtáyaḥ yádī vā́jasya gómata stotŕ̥bhyo máṁhate maghám

Indra's past gifts and helps do not disappear. When he gives abundant wealth, like cattle, to those who praise him, he gives generously.

Stanza 1.11.4

पु॒रां भि॒न्दुर्युवा॑ क॒विरमि॑तौजा अजायत | इन्द्रो॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ कर्म॑णो ध॒र्ता व॒ज्री पु॑रुष्टु॒तः ||

purā́m bhindúr yúvā kavír ámitaujā ajāyata índro víśvasya kármaṇo dhartā́ vajrī́ puruṣṭutáḥ

The fort-destroyer, young and wise, with immeasurable power, was born. Indra, the sustainer of all deeds, the thunderbolt-wielder, and much-praised!

Stanza 1.11.5

त्वं व॒लस्य॒ गोम॒तोऽपा॑वरद्रिवो॒ बिल॑म् | त्वां दे॒वा अबि॑भ्युषस्तु॒ज्यमा॑नास आविषुः ||

tváṁ valásya gómató 'pāvar adrivo bílam tvā́ṁ devā́ ábibhyuṣas tujyámānāsa āviṣuḥ

You, O thunderer, opened the cave of Vala containing the cows! The gods, though powerful, came to your side and sought your help.

Stanza 1.11.6

तवा॒हं शू॑र रा॒तिभिः॒ प्रत्या॑यं॒ सिन्धु॑मा॒वद॑न् | उपा॑तिष्ठन्त गिर्वणो वि॒दुष्टे॒ तस्य॑ का॒रवः॑ ||

távāháṁ śūra rātíbhiḥ práty āyaṁ síndhum āvádan úpātiṣṭhanta girvaṇo vidúṣ ṭe tásya kārávaḥ

O Hero Indra, by your gifts I have come to the river. O lover of songs, the wise singers stand here, knowing about you and your fame.

Stanza 1.11.7

मा॒याभि॑रिन्द्र मा॒यिनं॒ त्वं शुष्ण॒मवा॑तिरः | वि॒दुष्टे॒ तस्य॒ मेधि॑रा॒स्तेषां॒ श्रवां॒स्युत्ति॑र ||

māyā́bhir indra māyínaṁ tváṁ śúṣṇam ávātiraḥ vidúṣ ṭe tásya médhirās téṣāṁ śrávāṁsy út tira

Indra, you defeated the cunning Shuṣṇa with your illusions. The wise know this; go beyond their praises (and sing anew).

Stanza 1.11.8

इन्द्र॒मीशा॑न॒मोज॑सा॒भि स्तोमा॑ अनूषत | स॒हस्रं॒ यस्य॑ रा॒तय॑ उ॒त वा॒ सन्ति॒ भूय॑सीः ||

índram ī́śānam ójasābhí stómā anūṣata sahásraṁ yásya rātáya utá vā sánti bhū́yasīḥ

Our songs have praised Indra, the ruler by his power. His gifts are in thousands, and indeed, even more!
