Stanza 9.8.1

ए॒ते सोमा॑ अ॒भि प्रि॒यमिन्द्र॑स्य॒ काम॑मक्षरन् | वर्ध॑न्तो अस्य वी॒र्य॑म् ||

eté sómā abhí priyám índrasya kā́mam akṣaran várdhanto asya vīryàm

These Soma juices flowed, fulfilling Indra's dear desire, increasing his might.

Stanza 9.8.2

पु॒ना॒नास॑श्चमू॒षदो॒ गच्छ॑न्तो वा॒युम॒श्विना॑ | ते नो॑ धान्तु सु॒वीर्य॑म् ||

punānā́saś camūṣádo gáchanto vāyúm aśvínā té no dhāntu suvī́ryam

Pure and residing in the cups, moving towards Vayu and the Ashvins, may these deities grant us heroic strength.

Stanza 9.8.3

इन्द्र॑स्य सोम॒ राध॑से पुना॒नो हार्दि॑ चोदय | ऋ॒तस्य॒ योनि॑मा॒सद॑म् ||

índrasya soma rā́dhase punānó hā́rdi codaya r̥tásya yónim āsádam

O Soma, as you are purified, incite Indra's heart towards bounty, and settle in the place of truth.

Stanza 9.8.4

मृ॒जन्ति॑ त्वा॒ दश॒ क्षिपो॑ हि॒न्वन्ति॑ स॒प्त धी॒तयः॑ | अनु॒ विप्रा॑ अमादिषुः ||

mr̥jánti tvā dáśa kṣípo hinvánti saptá dhītáyaḥ ánu víprā amādiṣuḥ

The ten swift fingers adorn you, the seven powers impel you; the wise have delighted in you.

Stanza 9.8.5

दे॒वेभ्य॑स्त्वा॒ मदा॑य॒ कं सृ॑जा॒नमति॑ मे॒ष्यः॑ | सं गोभि॑र्वासयामसि ||

devébhyas tvā mádāya káṁ sr̥jānám áti meṣyàḥ sáṁ góbhir vāsayāmasi

When you are poured out for the gods for enjoyment, we clothe you with milk.

Stanza 9.8.6

पु॒ना॒नः क॒लशे॒ष्वा वस्त्रा॑ण्यरु॒षो हरिः॑ | परि॒ गव्या॑न्यव्यत ||

punānáḥ kaláśeṣv ā́ vástrāṇy aruṣó háriḥ pári gávyāny avyata

Purified in the jars, the bright-hued, golden Soma adorned itself with garments of milk.

Stanza 9.8.7

म॒घोन॒ आ प॑वस्व नो ज॒हि विश्वा॒ अप॒ द्विषः॑ | इन्दो॒ सखा॑य॒मा वि॑श ||

maghóna ā́ pavasva no jahí víśvā ápa dvíṣaḥ índo sákhāyam ā́ viśa

Flow to us for wealth, destroy all our enemies. O Soma, enter as a friend.

Stanza 9.8.8

वृ॒ष्टिं दि॒वः परि॑ स्रव द्यु॒म्नं पृ॑थि॒व्या अधि॑ | सहो॑ नः सोम पृ॒त्सु धाः॑ ||

vr̥ṣṭíṁ diváḥ pári srava dyumnám pr̥thivyā́ ádhi sáho naḥ soma pr̥tsú dhāḥ

Flow down the rain from heaven, flow forth wealth from the earth; O Soma, grant us strength in battles.

Stanza 9.8.9

नृ॒चक्ष॑सं त्वा व॒यमिन्द्र॑पीतं स्व॒र्विद॑म् | भ॒क्षी॒महि॑ प्र॒जामिष॑म् ||

nr̥cákṣasaṁ tvā vayám índrapītaṁ svarvídam bhakṣīmáhi prajā́m íṣam

We wish to partake of you, Indra-drunk Soma, finder of light, may we gain progeny and sustenance.
