O Indra, for you this Soma is pressed, for you it flows. Drink it! You yourself have made and chosen this Indu (Soma) for your enjoyment and for being with you.
This stanza is a direct address to Indra, the king of the gods, by the Soma plant. The Soma plant is being pressed (sunve) and purified (pavate) specifically for Indra. The plant asserts that it is the Soma that Indra himself has made and chosen, and that it is meant for his enjoyment and intoxication (madāya, yujyāya). It is a plea or offering, emphasizing the divine selection and purpose of the Soma.

It (the Soma) has been harnessed like a mighty chariot, fit for winning abundant treasures. Then, like the Nähushas who achieved victories, all these created things (in the sacrifice) celebrated the conquests.
This stanza describes the Soma juice after it has been purified, comparing its powerful and effective nature to a well-harnessed chariot. It speaks of the Soma being prepared to acquire great treasures (vasūni) and achieve victory in contests (sātaye). The actions and triumphs of the Nähushas, a legendary group, are evoked as a parallel to the power and success of the Soma.

You flow like Vayu with your teams, moving at will; you are most gracious when invoked, like the Nasatyas. Soma, you are like the wealth-giver Pushan, who inspires understanding and grants riches.
This verse compares the purifying Soma to potent natural forces and deities. It is likened to Vayu (wind god) with his team, moving freely, and to the Nasatyas (Ashvins, twin gods) when invoked, being exceptionally gracious. The Soma is further identified with Pushan (god of nourishment and prosperity) who inspires wisdom and grants wealth. The core idea is the Soma's powerful, beneficial, and divine nature.

O Soma, you are like Indra who performed great deeds, the slayer of Vritras and destroyer of forts. Like Pedu's horse, you are the slayer of the serpent-like beings, and indeed, O Soma, you are the slayer of all Dasyus.
This verse elevates the Soma by comparing its destructive and protective capabilities to the mighty god Indra and a mythical horse. The Soma is portrayed as a slayer of enemies, like Indra who defeated the Vritras (demons or obstacles) and destroyed forts. It's also compared to Pedu's horse, known for killing serpent-like foes. The Soma's role is thus presented as a powerful protector against all negative forces and enemies, especially the 'Dasyus' (often interpreted as non-Vedic people or demons).

Like Agni, when released in the forest, creating paths with power, you make paths for yourself. Like a fighter, you roar with the sound of greatness. Soma, flowing one, you send forth your current like rivers in the streams.
This verse compares the purifying Soma to the god Agni (fire) when released in a forest, creating rapid progress and power. It is also compared to a determined person creating paths through difficulties. The Soma's vigorous flow is likened to rivers moving towards the sea, and its roaring sound to a warrior's might. The overall image is of the Soma's unstoppable, dynamic, and powerful movement as it is purified.
