For him, three times seven 'milk-kine' poured forth the true essence in the eastern expanse. He made four other beautiful realms, which grew radiant when they were nourished by cosmic order.
This verse describes Soma's divine power and the cosmic creation. Seven celestial 'milk-kine' (representing cosmic energies or streams of essence) pour out the true essence for Soma in the eastern sky. He then skillfully creates four other beautiful worlds or realms, which grow in power and radiance as they are nourished by cosmic order (Rta).
