Stanza 9.66.1

पव॑स्व विश्वचर्षणे॒ऽभि विश्वा॑नि॒ काव्या॑ | सखा॒ सखि॑भ्य॒ ईड्यः॑ ||

pávasva viśvacarṣaṇe 'bhí víśvāni kā́vyā sákhā sákhibhya ī́ḍyaḥ

Flow onward, O Soma, pervading all beings! Friend, worthy of worship by friends, you flow towards all knowledge and works.

Stanza 9.66.2

ताभ्यां॒ विश्व॑स्य राजसि॒ ये प॑वमान॒ धाम॑नी | प्र॒ती॒ची सो॑म त॒स्थतुः॑ ||

tā́bhyāṁ víśvasya rājasi yé pavamāna dhā́manī pratīcī́ soma tasthátuḥ

By those two, O Soma Pavamana, you rule over the entire universe, like two opposing, established places.

Stanza 9.66.3

परि॒ धामा॑नि॒ यानि॑ ते॒ त्वं सो॑मासि वि॒श्वतः॑ | पव॑मान ऋ॒तुभिः॑ कवे ||

pári dhā́māni yā́ni te tváṁ somāsi viśvátaḥ pávamāna r̥túbhiḥ kave

Wise Soma, you surround all your stations, which move in accordance with the cosmic order throughout the seasons.

Stanza 9.66.4

पव॑स्व ज॒नय॒न्निषो॒ऽभि विश्वा॑नि॒ वार्या॑ | सखा॒ सखि॑भ्य ऊ॒तये॑ ||

pávasva janáyann íṣo 'bhí víśvāni vā́ryā sákhā sákhibhya ūtáye

Flow onward, generating food, towards all desirable things, O friend, for the sake of aid to friends.

Stanza 9.66.5

तव॑ शु॒क्रासो॑ अ॒र्चयो॑ दि॒वस्पृ॒ष्ठे वि त॑न्वते | प॒वित्रं॑ सोम॒ धाम॑भिः ||

táva śukrā́so arcáyo divás pr̥ṣṭhé ví tanvate pavítraṁ soma dhā́mabhiḥ

Your bright rays, O Soma, spread with their essences on the highest part of heaven, a purifier.

Stanza 9.66.6

तवे॒मे स॒प्त सिन्ध॑वः प्र॒शिषं॑ सोम सिस्रते | तुभ्यं॑ धावन्ति धे॒नवः॑ ||

távemé saptá síndhavaḥ praśíṣaṁ soma sisrate túbhyaṁ dhāvanti dhenávaḥ

To you, O Soma, these seven rivers flow with command; the streams of milk run towards you.

Stanza 9.66.7

प्र सो॑म याहि॒ धार॑या सु॒त इन्द्रा॑य मत्स॒रः | दधा॑नो॒ अक्षि॑ति॒ श्रवः॑ ||

prá soma yāhi dhā́rayā sutá índrāya matsaráḥ dádhāno ákṣiti śrávaḥ

Flow forth, O Soma, in a stream, intoxicating for Indra, bearing imperishable fame.

Stanza 9.66.8

समु॑ त्वा धी॒भिर॑स्वरन्हिन्व॒तीः स॒प्त जा॒मयः॑ | विप्र॑मा॒जा वि॒वस्व॑तः ||

sám u tvā dhībhír asvaran hinvatī́ḥ saptá jāmáyaḥ vípram ājā́ vivásvataḥ

With hymns, the seven sisters urged you onward; they sang around you, the sage, in Vivasvan's course.

Stanza 9.66.9

मृ॒जन्ति॑ त्वा॒ सम॒ग्रुवोऽव्ये॑ जी॒रावधि॒ ष्वणि॑ | रे॒भो यद॒ज्यसे॒ वने॑ ||

mr̥jánti tvā sám agrúvó 'vye jīrā́v ádhi ṣváṇi rebhó yád ajyáse váne

The pure ones cleanse you and drive you towards the filtering sieve; the singer bathes in the forest.

Stanza 9.66.10

पव॑मानस्य ते कवे॒ वाजि॒न्त्सर्गा॑ असृक्षत | अर्व॑न्तो॒ न श्र॑व॒स्यवः॑ ||

pávamānasya te kave vā́jin sárgā asr̥kṣata árvanto ná śravasyávaḥ

Your streams, O purifying Sage and mighty one, have flowed forth like horses eager for glory.

Stanza 9.66.11

अच्छा॒ कोशं॑ मधु॒श्चुत॒मसृ॑ग्रं॒ वारे॑ अ॒व्यये॑ | अवा॑वशन्त धी॒तयः॑ ||

áchā kóśam madhuścútam ásr̥graṁ vā́re avyáye ávāvaśanta dhītáyaḥ

The mead-dripping streams have flowed towards the purifying vat; the thoughts have sounded forth.

Stanza 9.66.12

अच्छा॑ समु॒द्रमिन्द॒वोऽस्तं॒ गावो॒ न धे॒नवः॑ | अग्म॑न्नृ॒तस्य॒ योनि॒मा ||

áchā samudrám índavó 'staṁ gā́vo ná dhenávaḥ ágmann r̥tásya yónim ā́

Like cows returning home, the Soma drops have come to the ocean, reaching the source of the cosmic order.

Stanza 9.66.13

प्र ण॑ इन्दो म॒हे रण॒ आपो॑ अर्षन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वः | यद्गोभि॑र्वासयि॒ष्यसे॑ ||

prá ṇa indo mahé ráṇa ā́po arṣanti síndhavaḥ yád góbhir vāsayiṣyáse

O Indu, flow to our great joy; the waters flow to us, when you will adorn yourself with milk.

Stanza 9.66.14

अस्य॑ ते स॒ख्ये व॒यमिय॑क्षन्त॒स्त्वोत॑यः | इन्दो॑ सखि॒त्वमु॑श्मसि ||

ásya te sakhyé vayám íyakṣantas tvótayaḥ índo sakhitvám uśmasi

In your friendship, we, eager to sacrifice and seeking your aid, O Indu, desire your friendship and companionship.

Stanza 9.66.15

आ प॑वस्व॒ गवि॑ष्टये म॒हे सो॑म नृ॒चक्ष॑से | एन्द्र॑स्य ज॒ठरे॑ विश ||

ā́ pavasva gáviṣṭaye mahé soma nr̥cákṣase éndrasya jaṭháre viśa

Flow forth, O Soma, for the great enjoyment, for the perception of men, enter into Indra's belly.

Stanza 9.66.16

म॒हाँ अ॑सि सोम॒ ज्येष्ठ॑ उ॒ग्राणा॑मिन्द॒ ओजि॑ष्ठः | युध्वा॒ सञ्छश्व॑ज्जिगेथ ||

mahā́m̐ asi soma jyéṣṭha ugrā́ṇām inda ójiṣṭhaḥ yúdhvā sáñ cháśvaj jigetha

You are great, O Soma, the greatest among the mighty, the strongest among the strong, O Indu; you are a warrior who has always conquered.

Stanza 9.66.17

य उ॒ग्रेभ्य॑श्चि॒दोजी॑या॒ञ्छूरे॑भ्यश्चि॒च्छूर॑तरः | भू॒रि॒दाभ्य॑श्चि॒न्मंही॑यान् ||

yá ugrébhyaś cid ójīyāñ chū́rebhyaś cic chū́rataraḥ bhūridā́bhyaś cin máṁhīyān

You are mightier than the mighty, more valiant than the brave, and more bountiful than the generous.

Stanza 9.66.18

त्वं सो॑म॒ सूर॒ एष॑स्तो॒कस्य॑ सा॒ता त॒नूना॑म् | वृ॒णी॒महे॑ स॒ख्याय॑ वृणी॒महे॒ युज्या॑य ||

tváṁ soma sū́ra éṣas tokásya sātā́ tanū́nām vr̥ṇīmáhe sakhyā́ya vr̥ṇīmáhe yújyāya

You, O Soma, the hero, bring sustenance, bring offspring; we choose you for friendship, we choose you for companionship.

Stanza 9.66.19

अग्न॒ आयूं॑षि पवस॒ आ सु॒वोर्ज॒मिषं॑ च नः | आ॒रे बा॑धस्व दु॒च्छुना॑म् ||

ágna ā́yūṁṣi pavasa ā́ suvórjam íṣaṁ ca naḥ āré bādhasva duchúnām

O Agni, flow forth; send us strength and food, and drive away misfortune.

Stanza 9.66.20

अ॒ग्निर्ऋषिः॒ पव॑मानः॒ पाञ्च॑जन्यः पु॒रोहि॑तः | तमी॑महे महाग॒यम् ||

agnír ŕ̥ṣiḥ pávamānaḥ pā́ñcajanyaḥ puróhitaḥ tám īmahe mahāgayám

Agni is the Sage, the Purifier, the chief priest of the five races; we invoke him for great prosperity.

Stanza 9.66.21

अग्ने॒ पव॑स्व॒ स्वपा॑ अ॒स्मे वर्चः॑ सु॒वीर्य॑म् | दध॑द्र॒यिं मयि॒ पोष॑म् ||

ágne pávasva svápā asmé várcaḥ suvī́ryam dádhad rayím máyi póṣam

O skilled Agni, flow forth, bestowing splendor and heroic strength upon us, and granting me wealth that nourishes.

Stanza 9.66.22

पव॑मानो॒ अति॒ स्रिधो॒ऽभ्य॑र्षति सुष्टु॒तिम् | सूरो॒ न वि॒श्वद॑र्शतः ||

pávamāno áti srídho 'bhy àrṣati suṣṭutím sū́ro ná viśvádarśataḥ

The purifier flows beyond obstacles to excellent praise, like the sun visible to all.

Stanza 9.66.23

स म॑र्मृजा॒न आ॒युभिः॒ प्रय॑स्वा॒न्प्रय॑से हि॒तः | इन्दु॒रत्यो॑ विचक्ष॒णः ||

sá marmr̥jāná āyúbhiḥ práyasvān práyase hitáḥ índur átyo vicakṣaṇáḥ

Adorned by the vital forces, set forth for enjoyment, the discerning Indu is like a swift horse.

Stanza 9.66.24

पव॑मान ऋ॒तं बृ॒हच्छु॒क्रं ज्योति॑रजीजनत् | कृ॒ष्णा तमां॑सि॒ जङ्घ॑नत् ||

pávamāna r̥tám br̥hác chukráṁ jyótir ajījanat kr̥ṣṇā́ támāṁsi jáṅghanat

The purifier has generated the great cosmic order, the brilliant light, destroying darkness.

Stanza 9.66.25

पव॑मानस्य॒ जङ्घ्न॑तो॒ हरे॑श्च॒न्द्रा अ॑सृक्षत | जी॒रा अ॑जि॒रशो॑चिषः ||

pávamānasya jáṅghnato háreś candrā́ asr̥kṣata jīrā́ ajiráśociṣaḥ

From the purifying, destroying Hari, radiant streams have flowed forth; swift streams of swift-shining brilliance.

Stanza 9.66.26

पव॑मानो र॒थीत॑मः शु॒भ्रेभिः॑ शु॒भ्रश॑स्तमः | हरि॑श्चन्द्रो म॒रुद्ग॑णः ||

pávamāno rathī́tamaḥ śubhrébhiḥ śubhráśastamaḥ háriścandro marúdgaṇaḥ

The purifier, best chariot-rider, most praised among the bright ones, Harishchandra, with the Maruts.

Stanza 9.66.27

पव॑मानो॒ व्य॑श्नवद्र॒श्मिभि॑र्वाज॒सात॑मः | दध॑त्स्तो॒त्रे सु॒वीर्य॑म् ||

pávamāno vy àśnavad raśmíbhir vājasā́tamaḥ dádhat stotré suvī́ryam

May the purifier, best at winning wealth, penetrate with rays, placing heroic strength in the praise of the singer.

Stanza 9.66.28

प्र सु॑वा॒न इन्दु॑रक्षाः प॒वित्र॒मत्य॒व्यय॑म् | पु॒ना॒न इन्दु॒रिन्द्र॒मा ||

prá suvāná índur akṣāḥ pavítram áty avyáyam punāná índur índram ā́

The pressed Indu has flowed over the purifying fleece; the purifying Indu approaches Indra.

Stanza 9.66.29

ए॒ष सोमो॒ अधि॑ त्व॒चि गवां॑ क्रीळ॒त्यद्रि॑भिः | इन्द्रं॒ मदा॑य॒ जोहु॑वत् ||

eṣá sómo ádhi tvací gávāṁ krīḷaty ádribhiḥ índram mádāya jóhuvat

This Soma, with the pressing stones, plays on the hide of the cows, calling Indra for intoxication.

Stanza 9.66.30

यस्य॑ ते द्यु॒म्नव॒त्पयः॒ पव॑मा॒नाभृ॑तं दि॒वः | तेन॑ नो मृळ जी॒वसे॑ ||

yásya te dyumnávat páyaḥ pávamānā́bhr̥taṁ diváḥ téna no mr̥ḷa jīváse

O Pavamana, bless us with that glorious milk of yours, brought from heaven, so that we may live.
