Stanza 9.48.1

तं त्वा॑ नृ॒म्णानि॒ बिभ्र॑तं स॒धस्थे॑षु म॒हो दि॒वः | चारुं॑ सुकृ॒त्यये॑महे ||

táṁ tvā nr̥mṇā́ni bíbhrataṁ sadhástheṣu mahó diváḥ cā́ruṁ sukr̥tyáyemahe

To you, who possess strength and reside in the high heavens, we, through our good deeds and sacrifices, aspire to reach and embrace you.

Stanza 9.48.2

संवृ॑क्तधृष्णुमु॒क्थ्यं॑ म॒हाम॑हिव्रतं॒ मद॑म् | श॒तं पुरो॑ रुरु॒क्षणि॑म् ||

sáṁvr̥ktadhr̥ṣṇum ukthyàm mahā́mahivratam mádam śatám púro rurukṣáṇim

You who crush the bold, whose resolve is mighty, and who destroys a hundred forts, you are the object of praise.

Stanza 9.48.3

अत॑स्त्वा र॒यिम॒भि राजा॑नं सुक्रतो दि॒वः | सु॒प॒र्णो अ॑व्य॒थिर्भ॑रत् ||

átas tvā rayím abhí rā́jānaṁ sukrato diváḥ suparṇó avyathír bharat

Therefore, O wise one, you, like a swift and tireless falcon, brought wealth from the sky, O lord.

Stanza 9.48.4

विश्व॑स्मा॒ इत्स्व॑र्दृ॒शे साधा॑रणं रज॒स्तुर॑म् | गो॒पामृ॒तस्य॒ विर्भ॑रत् ||

víśvasmā ít svàr dr̥śé sā́dhāraṇaṁ rajastúram gopā́m r̥tásya vír bharat

That each may see the light, the swift-moving bird brought forth the common guardian of cosmic order for all.

Stanza 9.48.5

अधा॑ हिन्वा॒न इ॑न्द्रि॒यं ज्यायो॑ महि॒त्वमा॑नशे | अ॒भि॒ष्टि॒कृद्विच॑र्षणिः ||

ádhā hinvāná indriyáṁ jyā́yo mahitvám ānaśe abhiṣṭikŕ̥d vícarṣaṇiḥ

Indeed, infused with strength, it has attained greater power and majesty, the active one, the one who perceives all, ready to assist.
