    Stanza 9.42.1

    ज॒नय॑न्रोच॒ना दि॒वो ज॒नय॑न्न॒प्सु सूर्य॑म् | वसा॑नो॒ गा अ॒पो हरिः॑ ||

    janáyan rocanā́ divó janáyann apsú sū́ryam vásāno gā́ apó háriḥ

    Generating the lights of the sky, and the sun in the waters, the radiant one, adorned with these, flows.

    Stanza 9.42.2

    ए॒ष प्र॒त्नेन॒ मन्म॑ना दे॒वो दे॒वेभ्य॒स्परि॑ | धार॑या पवते सु॒तः ||

    eṣá pratnéna mánmanā devó devébhyas pári dhā́rayā pavate sutáḥ

    This divine Soma, with his ancient ritual, flows purified by his stream, a god for the gods.

    Stanza 9.42.3

    वा॒वृ॒धा॒नाय॒ तूर्व॑ये॒ पव॑न्ते॒ वाज॑सातये | सोमाः॑ स॒हस्र॑पाजसः ||

    vāvr̥dhānā́ya tū́rvaye pávante vā́jasātaye sómāḥ sahásrapājasaḥ

    The Soma juices, growing powerful and for victory, are purified for the gain of sustenance, the thousand-powered Somass.

    Stanza 9.42.4

    दु॒हा॒नः प्र॒त्नमित्पयः॑ प॒वित्रे॒ परि॑ षिच्यते | क्रन्द॑न्दे॒वाँ अ॑जीजनत् ||

    duhānáḥ pratnám ít páyaḥ pavítre pári ṣicyate krándan devā́m̐ ajījanat

    Shedding the ancient fluid, it is poured through the strainer; roaring, it generated the gods.

    Stanza 9.42.5

    अ॒भि विश्वा॑नि॒ वार्या॒भि दे॒वाँ ऋ॑ता॒वृधः॑ | सोमः॑ पुना॒नो अ॑र्षति ||

    abhí víśvāni vā́ryābhí devā́m̐ r̥tāvŕ̥dhaḥ sómaḥ punānó arṣati

    Purifying himself, Soma flows forward with all desirable things, and the gods who uphold the cosmic order.

    Stanza 9.42.6

    गोम॑न्नः सोम वी॒रव॒दश्वा॑व॒द्वाज॑वत्सु॒तः | पव॑स्व बृह॒तीरिषः॑ ||

    góman naḥ soma vīrávad áśvāvad vā́javat sutáḥ pávasva br̥hatī́r íṣaḥ

    O Soma, pressed out, flow to us with abundance of cattle, heroes, horses, and food; bestow great nourishment.
