Stanza 9.36.1

अस॑र्जि॒ रथ्यो॑ यथा प॒वित्रे॑ च॒म्वोः॑ सु॒तः | कार्ष्म॑न्वा॒जी न्य॑क्रमीत् ||

ásarji ráthyo yathā pavítre camvòḥ sutáḥ kā́rṣman vājī́ ny àkramīt

Like a chariot horse, it was released into the sieve, from the mortar into the two vessels. The potent essence moved forward into the trough.

Stanza 9.36.2

स वह्निः॑ सोम॒ जागृ॑विः॒ पव॑स्व देव॒वीरति॑ | अ॒भि कोशं॑ मधु॒श्चुत॑म् ||

sá váhniḥ soma jā́gr̥viḥ pávasva devavī́r áti abhí kóśam madhuścútam

O Soma, you who are the bearer and the watchful one, flow purified, cheering the gods, towards the sweet-dripping cup.

Stanza 9.36.3

स नो॒ ज्योतीं॑षि पूर्व्य॒ पव॑मान॒ वि रो॑चय | क्रत्वे॒ दक्षा॑य नो हिनु ||

sá no jyótīṁṣi pūrvya pávamāna ví rocaya krátve dákṣāya no hinu

O ancient purifier, may you make the lights shine brightly for us. Drive us towards skill and ability.

Stanza 9.36.4

शु॒म्भमा॑न ऋता॒युभि॑र्मृ॒ज्यमा॑नो॒ गभ॑स्त्योः | पव॑ते॒ वारे॑ अ॒व्यये॑ ||

śumbhámāna r̥tāyúbhir mr̥jyámāno gábhastyoḥ pávate vā́re avyáye

Adorning himself and being cleansed by the pious ones, Soma flows through the fibrous sieve, within the hands.

Stanza 9.36.5

स विश्वा॑ दा॒शुषे॒ वसु॒ सोमो॑ दि॒व्यानि॒ पार्थि॑वा | पव॑ता॒मान्तरि॑क्ष्या ||

sá víśvā dāśúṣe vásu sómo divyā́ni pā́rthivā pávatām ā́ntárikṣyā

O Soma, pour forth all wealth from the heavens, the earth, and the atmosphere for the giver (the worshipper).

Stanza 9.36.6

आ दि॒वस्पृ॒ष्ठम॑श्व॒युर्ग॑व्य॒युः सो॑म रोहसि | वी॒र॒युः श॑वसस्पते ||

ā́ divás pr̥ṣṭhám aśvayúr gavyayúḥ soma rohasi vīrayúḥ śavasas pate

O Soma, Lord of Strength, you ascend to the peak of the sky, seeking horses, cattle, and heroes.
