Stanza 9.27.1
ए॒ष क॒विर॒भिष्टु॑तः प॒वित्रे॒ अधि॑ तोशते | पु॒ना॒नो घ्नन्नप॒ स्रिधः॑ ||
eṣá kavír abhíṣṭutaḥ pavítre ádhi tośate punānó ghnánn ápa srídhaḥ
This sage, highly praised, flows upon the purifying filter, cleansing and driving away the enemies.
This verse describes the Soma press, a ritual purification process. The sage-like Soma juice, highly praised, is being filtered through a purifying cloth. As it flows through, it cleanses itself and simultaneously eliminates obstacles or adversaries, symbolizing the removal of impurities and the strengthening of the divine essence.
