Stanza 8.97.1
या इ॑न्द्र॒ भुज॒ आभ॑रः॒ स्व॑र्वाँ॒ असु॑रेभ्यः | स्तो॒तार॒मिन्म॑घवन्नस्य वर्धय॒ ये च॒ त्वे वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः ||
yā́ indra bhúja ā́bharaḥ svàrvām̐ ásurebhyaḥ stotā́ram ín maghavann asya vardhaya yé ca tvé vr̥ktábarhiṣaḥ
O Indra, with what might you acquired from the Asuras, empower us, O Maghavan (generous one)! And increase the one who praises, and those who prepare the sacrificial grass for you.
The worshipper invokes Indra, the powerful god, to grant strength and prosperity. He asks Indra to empower him and those who perform rituals in his honor, drawing strength from what Indra has acquired from the Asuras (demons or powers). Stanza 8.97.2

O Indra, you who possess the horse and cattle wealth, and imperishable share, place that share with the one who performs sacrifices, offers Soma, and gives gifts, not with the stingy.
The devotee requests Indra to bestow upon him, the performer of sacrifices, the wealth of horses and cows that he has secured. This wealth should not go to the stingy or undeserving, but to the one who offers Soma and gives generously.

He who is without vows, without devotion, sleeps soundly, may he perish by his own ways. Hide from him the nourishing wealth, O Indra.

I loudly call that Indra, the mighty, the powerful, who holds power and is irresistible. May the most liberal, divine one, with hymns and reverence, lead us to wealth and make all our paths good, O Vajrin (wielder of thunderbolt)!

May your truth, O Indra, O heroic, wondrous one, protect me. O Vajrin, carry me over difficulties like waters. When, O Indra, O King, will you bestow upon us wealth that sustains all and is desirable?
The devotee prays that Indra's truth and protection may guard him, carrying him over troubles like water. He asks when Indra, the king, will bestow upon him abundant wealth, which is all-sustaining and highly desirable.
