Stanza 8.94.1

gaúr dhayati marútāṁ śravasyúr mātā́ maghónām yuktā́ váhnī ráthānām

The nourishing cow, sought-after for glory, mother of the wealthy Maruts, yields sustenance. The powerful steeds of the chariots are yoked.

Stanza 8.94.2

yásyā devā́ upásthe vratā́ víśve dhāráyante sū́ryāmā́sā dr̥śé kám

In whose lap all the gods, as well as the sun and moon (for all to see), uphold their duties and cosmic laws.

Stanza 8.94.3

tát sú no víśve aryá ā́ sádā gr̥ṇanti kārávaḥ marútaḥ sómapītaye

Therefore, all our friends and singers always praise us (or invite us) to the Maruts for the Soma-drinking rite.

Stanza 8.94.4

ásti sómo ayáṁ sutáḥ píbanty asya marútaḥ utá svarā́jo aśvínā

This prepared Soma exists; the Maruts drink of it, and the self-radiant Ashvins also drink.

Stanza 8.94.5

píbanti mitró aryamā́ tánā pūtásya váruṇaḥ triṣadhasthásya jā́vataḥ

Mitra, Aryaman, and Varuna drink of the purified Soma, which is sustained through (its) continuous essence and resides in three places.

Stanza 8.94.6

utó nv àsya jóṣam ā́m̐ índraḥ sutásya gómataḥ prātár hóteva matsati

May Indra also joyfully approach this prepared Soma, rich with milk, just as the Hotri priest at the morning ritual.

Stanza 8.94.7

kád atviṣanta sūráyas tirá ā́pa iva srídhaḥ árṣanti pūtádakṣasaḥ

When did the brilliant leaders shine forth? They rush through obstacles like waters, endowed with pure strength.

Stanza 8.94.8

kád vo adyá mahā́nāṁ devā́nām ávo vr̥ṇe tmánā ca dasmávarcasām

What favor shall I seek today from you, the great gods, who shine splendidly by yourselves?

Stanza 8.94.9

ā́ yé víśvā pā́rthivāni papráthan rocanā́ diváḥ marútaḥ sómapītaye

I invoke those Maruts who have spread out all the earthly realms and the luminous regions of the sky, for the drinking of Soma.

Stanza 8.94.10

tyā́n nú pūtádakṣaso divó vo maruto huve asyá sómasya pītáye

Now, I call you, O Maruts, who possess pure strength and come from heaven, to drink this Soma.

Stanza 8.94.11

tyā́n nú yé ví ródasī tastabhúr marúto huve asyá sómasya pītáye

I invoke those Maruts who have propped apart the two vast realms (heaven and earth), for the drinking of this Soma.

Stanza 8.94.12

tyáṁ nú mā́rutaṁ gaṇáṁ giriṣṭhā́ṁ vŕ̥ṣaṇaṁ huve asyá sómasya pītáye

I invoke that vigorous troop of Maruts, dwelling in the mountains, for the drinking of this Soma.
