    Stanza 8.90.1

    आ नो॒ विश्वा॑सु॒ हव्य॒ इन्द्रः॑ स॒मत्सु॑ भूषतु | उप॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ सव॑नानि वृत्र॒हा प॑रम॒ज्या ऋची॑षमः ||

    ā́ no víśvāsu hávya índraḥ samátsu bhūṣatu úpa bráhmāṇi sávanāni vr̥trahā́ paramajyā́ ŕ̥cīṣamaḥ

    May Indra, our invoked deity, be present with us in all gatherings. May the mighty destroyer of Vritra, who is worthy of praise, approach our prayers and our libations. He is the one who adorns all places with his presence.

    Stanza 8.90.2

    त्वं दा॒ता प्र॑थ॒मो राध॑साम॒स्यसि॑ स॒त्य ई॑शान॒कृत् | तु॒वि॒द्यु॒म्नस्य॒ युज्या वृ॑णीमहे पु॒त्रस्य॒ शव॑सो म॒हः ||

    tváṁ dātā́ prathamó rā́dhasām asy ási satyá īśānakŕ̥t tuvidyumnásya yújyā́ vr̥ṇīmahe putrásya śávaso maháḥ

    You are the first and greatest giver of wealth. You are true, a powerful ruler. We choose to be allied with the glorious son of great strength.

    Stanza 8.90.3

    ब्रह्मा॑ त इन्द्र गिर्वणः क्रि॒यन्ते॒ अन॑तिद्भुता | इ॒मा जु॑षस्व हर्यश्व॒ योज॒नेन्द्र॒ या ते॒ अम॑न्महि ||

    bráhmā ta indra girvaṇaḥ kriyánte ánatidbhutā imā́ juṣasva haryaśva yójanéndra yā́ te ámanmahi

    O Indra, lover of songs, prayers are made to you. These hymns are perfectly crafted for you. Accept them, O Indra with bay horses, these which we have thought for you.

    Stanza 8.90.4

    त्वं हि स॒त्यो म॑घव॒न्नना॑नतो वृ॒त्रा भूरि॑ न्यृ॒ञ्जसे॑ | स त्वं श॑विष्ठ वज्रहस्त दा॒शुषे॒ऽर्वाञ्चं॑ र॒यिमा कृ॑धि ||

    tváṁ hí satyó maghavann ánānato vr̥trā́ bhū́ri nyr̥ñjáse sá tváṁ śaviṣṭha vajrahasta dāśúṣe 'rvā́ñcaṁ rayím ā́ kr̥dhi

    For you, O Maghavan, are true and unyielding, and you subdue many enemies. Therefore, O most powerful Indra, wielder of the thunderbolt, turn towards the worshipper and grant us wealth.

    Stanza 8.90.5

    त्वमि॑न्द्र य॒शा अ॑स्यृजी॒षी श॑वसस्पते | त्वं वृ॒त्राणि॑ हंस्यप्र॒तीन्येक॒ इदनु॑त्ता चर्षणी॒धृता॑ ||

    tvám indra yaśā́ asy r̥jīṣī́ śavasas pate tváṁ vr̥trā́ṇi haṁsy apratī́ny éka íd ánuttā carṣaṇīdhŕ̥tā

    O Indra, you are famous and mighty. O Lord of Strength, you alone slay the irresistible Vritras and the unconquered ones, the supporter of mankind.

    Stanza 8.90.6

    तमु॑ त्वा नू॒नम॑सुर॒ प्रचे॑तसं॒ राधो॑ भा॒गमि॑वेमहे | म॒हीव॒ कृत्तिः॑ शर॒णा त॑ इन्द्र॒ प्र ते॑ सु॒म्ना नो॑ अश्नवन् ||

    tám u tvā nūnám asura prácetasaṁ rā́dho bhāgám ivemahe mahī́va kŕ̥ttiḥ śaraṇā́ ta indra prá te sumnā́ no aśnavan

    We seek you now, O wise Asura, as we seek a portion of wealth. Your protection is like a great cloak. O Indra, may your favors reach us.
