स्वा॒दोर॑भक्षि॒ वय॑सः सुमे॒धाः स्वा॒ध्यो॑ वरिवो॒वित्त॑रस्य | विश्वे॒ यं दे॒वा उ॒त मर्त्या॑सो॒ मधु॑ ब्रु॒वन्तो॑ अ॒भि सं॒चर॑न्ति ||
svādór abhakṣi váyasaḥ sumedhā́ḥ svādhyò varivovíttarasya víśve yáṁ devā́ utá mártyāso mádhu bruvánto abhí saṁcáranti
With good sense, I have consumed the delicious and invigorating (drink/food). It is the best for acquiring prosperity. All gods and mortals, calling it 'sweet nectar,' gather around it.

We have drunk Soma and become immortal; we have attained the light and discovered the gods. Now, what can hostility do to us? And what can the spite of mortals do to us, O immortal one?
Having drunk the Soma, the speakers declare they have become immortal, attained divine light, and recognized the gods. They question what harm any enemy or hostile force can do to them now, given their divine state, and ask what the malice of mortals or even immortal beings could achieve against them.

I wish to associate with the kind friend, who, O Hari-horsed one, having been drunk, does not harm me. For this Soma, which has been placed within us, I approach Indra to extend our lifespan.

Those diseases have gone away; the dark forces have been afraid. Soma has risen powerfully within us; we have reached a place where life is extended.
The speaker declares that their ailments and misfortunes have departed, and the forces of darkness have been frightened away. Soma has ascended within them with great power, enabling them to reach a state where life is prolonged.

O Fathers, this Indu (Soma), drunk in our hearts, has entered us mortals, though immortal. For that Soma, let us offer sacrifice with libations; may we be in his favor and grace.
