अ॒ग्निरु॒क्थे पु॒रोहि॑तो॒ ग्रावा॑णो ब॒र्हिर॑ध्व॒रे | ऋ॒चा या॑मि म॒रुतो॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिं॑ दे॒वाँ अवो॒ वरे॑ण्यम् ||

Agni is the chief priest in the chanting, the stones and grass are in the sacrifice. With a hymn, I seek the Maruts and Brahmanaspati, and the Gods for desirable protection.

Indeed, the all-knowing gods became for Manu's growth, and as destroyers of enemies. O all-knowing ones, may you be our protectors with unharmed guardians, providing shelter.
