Stanza 8.26.1

यु॒वोरु॒ षू रथं॑ हुवे स॒धस्तु॑त्याय सू॒रिषु॑ | अतू॑र्तदक्षा वृषणा वृषण्वसू ||

yuvór u ṣū́ ráthaṁ huve sadhástutyāya sūríṣu átūrtadakṣā vr̥ṣaṇā vr̥ṣaṇvasū

We call your chariot for united praise among the leaders, O powerful and wealthy twin gods, whose strength is inexhaustible.

Stanza 8.26.2

यु॒वं व॑रो सु॒षाम्णे॑ म॒हे तने॑ नासत्या | अवो॑भिर्याथो वृषणा वृषण्वसू ||

yuváṁ varo suṣā́mṇe mahé táne nāsatyā ávobhir yātho vr̥ṣaṇā vr̥ṣaṇvasū

O Nāsatyas, O powerful ones, bestowers of wealth, you come for Varu, for great prosperity and sustenance, with your aid.

Stanza 8.26.3

ता वा॑म॒द्य ह॑वामहे ह॒व्येभि॑र्वाजिनीवसू | पू॒र्वीरि॒ष इ॒षय॑न्ता॒वति॑ क्ष॒पः ||

tā́ vām adyá havāmahe havyébhir vājinīvasū pūrvī́r iṣá iṣáyantāv áti kṣapáḥ

Today, we call you with offerings, O Aśvins, rich in wealth and food, who are active and provide sustenance.

Stanza 8.26.4

आ वां॒ वाहि॑ष्ठो अश्विना॒ रथो॑ यातु श्रु॒तो न॑रा | उप॒ स्तोमा॑न्तु॒रस्य॑ दर्शथः श्रि॒ये ||

ā́ vāṁ vā́hiṣṭho aśvinā rátho yātu śrutó narā úpa stómān turásya darśathaḥ śriyé

O Aśvins, O heroes, let your swiftest chariot come to us, renowned and excellent, approaching with hymns, visible for glory.

Stanza 8.26.5

जु॒हु॒रा॒णा चि॑दश्वि॒ना म॑न्येथां वृषण्वसू | यु॒वं हि रु॑द्रा॒ पर्ष॑थो॒ अति॒ द्विषः॑ ||

juhurāṇā́ cid aśvinā́ manyethāṁ vr̥ṣaṇvasū yuváṁ hí rudrā párṣatho áti dvíṣaḥ

O Aśvins, O Rudras, O bestowers of wealth, even if we have turned away, may you think of us and save us from enemies.

Stanza 8.26.6

द॒स्रा हि विश्व॑मानु॒षङ्म॒क्षूभिः॑ परि॒दीय॑थः | धि॒यं॒जि॒न्वा मधु॑वर्णा शु॒भस्पती॑ ||

dasrā́ hí víśvam ānuṣáṅ makṣū́bhiḥ paridī́yathaḥ dhiyaṁjinvā́ mádhuvarṇā śubhás pátī

O wonders, O lords of splendor, you move swiftly through the whole world, invigorating thoughts, with sweet color and radiance.

Stanza 8.26.7

उप॑ नो यातमश्विना रा॒या वि॑श्व॒पुषा॑ स॒ह | म॒घवा॑ना सु॒वीरा॒वन॑पच्युता ||

úpa no yātam aśvinā rāyā́ viśvapúṣā sahá maghávānā suvī́rāv ánapacyutā

O Aśvins, O givers of gifts, O heroes, come to us with abundant wealth, unfailing and strong.

Stanza 8.26.8

आ मे॑ अ॒स्य प्र॑ती॒व्य१॒॑मिन्द्र॑नासत्या गतम् | दे॒वा दे॒वेभि॑र॒द्य स॒चन॑स्तमा ||

ā́ me asyá pratīvyàm índranāsatyā gatam devā́ devébhir adyá sacánastamā

O Indra-like Aśvins, come to this offering, you who are in the best accord with gods and humans today.

Stanza 8.26.9

व॒यं हि वां॒ हवा॑मह उक्ष॒ण्यन्तो॑ व्यश्व॒वत् | सु॒म॒तिभि॒रुप॑ विप्रावि॒हा ग॑तम् ||

vayáṁ hí vāṁ hávāmaha ukṣaṇyánto vyaśvavát sumatíbhir úpa viprāv ihā́ gatam

Indeed, we call you, O wise Aśvins, like oxen, to come here with good thoughts and favor.

Stanza 8.26.10

अ॒श्विना॒ स्वृ॑षे स्तुहि कु॒वित्ते॒ श्रव॑तो॒ हव॑म् | नेदी॑यसः कूळयातः प॒णीँरु॒त ||

aśvínā sv r̥̀ṣe stuhi kuvít te śrávato hávam nédīyasaḥ kūḷayātaḥ paṇī́m̐r utá

O sage, praise the Aśvins! Will they hear our call? Will they destroy the near Paṇis?

Stanza 8.26.11

वै॒य॒श्वस्य॑ श्रुतं नरो॒तो मे॑ अ॒स्य वे॑दथः | स॒जोष॑सा॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा ||

vaiyaśvásya śrutaṁ narotó me asyá vedathaḥ sajóṣasā váruṇo mitró aryamā́

O heroes, hear concerning Vaiyaśva; you know me. Be in accord with Varuna, Mitra, and Aryaman.

Stanza 8.26.12

यु॒वाद॑त्तस्य धिष्ण्या यु॒वानी॑तस्य सू॒रिभिः॑ | अह॑रहर्वृषण॒ मह्यं॑ शिक्षतम् ||

yuvā́dattasya dhiṣṇyā yuvā́nītasya sūríbhiḥ áhar-ahar vr̥ṣaṇa máhyaṁ śikṣatam

O vigilant and powerful Aśvins, who bring gifts through patrons, grant your blessings to me daily.

Stanza 8.26.13

यो वां॑ य॒ज्ञेभि॒रावृ॒तोऽधि॑वस्त्रा व॒धूरि॑व | स॒प॒र्यन्ता॑ शु॒भे च॑क्राते अ॒श्विना॑ ||

yó vāṁ yajñébhir ā́vr̥tó 'dhivastrā vadhū́r iva saparyántā śubhé cakrāte aśvínā

He whom your sacrifices cover, like a bride with her garment, bringing glory to you, O Aśvins, as he serves.

Stanza 8.26.14

यो वा॑मुरु॒व्यच॑स्तमं॒ चिके॑तति नृ॒पाय्य॑म् | व॒र्तिर॑श्विना॒ परि॑ यातमस्म॒यू ||

yó vām uruvyácastamaṁ cíketati nr̥pā́yyam vartír aśvinā pári yātam asmayū́

O Aśvins, who love us, may you come around the dwelling of one who understands your widest care for men, approaching with protection.

Stanza 8.26.15

अ॒स्मभ्यं॒ सु वृ॑षण्वसू या॒तं व॒र्तिर्नृ॒पाय्य॑म् | वि॒षु॒द्रुहे॑व य॒ज्ञमू॑हथुर्गि॒रा ||

asmábhyaṁ sú vr̥ṣaṇvasū yātáṁ vartír nr̥pā́yyam viṣudrúheva yajñám ūhathur girā́

O bestowers of wealth, come to us with protection, carrying the sacrifice with hymns, as you would against those who wish harm.

Stanza 8.26.16

वाहि॑ष्ठो वां॒ हवा॑नां॒ स्तोमो॑ दू॒तो हु॑वन्नरा | यु॒वाभ्यां॑ भूत्वश्विना ||

vā́hiṣṭho vāṁ hávānāṁ stómo dūtó huvan narā yuvā́bhyām bhūtv aśvinā

O heroes, the praise which calls you is the most attractive; may it reach you, O Aśvins.

Stanza 8.26.17

यद॒दो दि॒वो अ॑र्ण॒व इ॒षो वा॒ मद॑थो गृ॒हे | श्रु॒तमिन्मे॑ अमर्त्या ||

yád adó divó arṇavá iṣó vā mádatho gr̥hé śrutám ín me amartyā

O immortal Aśvins, whether you are in the heavenly ocean or enjoying yourselves in the home of food, listen to me.

Stanza 8.26.18

उ॒त स्या श्वे॑त॒याव॑री॒ वाहि॑ष्ठा वां न॒दीना॑म् | सिन्धु॒र्हिर॑ण्यवर्तनिः ||

utá syā́ śvetayā́varī vā́hiṣṭhā vāṁ nadī́nām síndhur híraṇyavartaniḥ

Indeed, this white-hued river, the best flowing among rivers, Sindhu with a golden path, attracts you.

Stanza 8.26.19

स्मदे॒तया॑ सुकी॒र्त्याश्वि॑ना श्वे॒तया॑ धि॒या | वहे॑थे शुभ्रयावाना ||

smád etáyā sukīrtyā́śvinā śvetáyā dhiyā́ váhethe śubhrayāvānā

O Aśvins, come with your excellent fame and bright wisdom, riding on your radiant chariots.

Stanza 8.26.20

यु॒क्ष्वा हि त्वं र॑था॒सहा॑ यु॒वस्व॒ पोष्या॑ वसो | आन्नो॑ वायो॒ मधु॑ पिबा॒स्माकं॒ सव॒ना ग॑हि ||

yukṣvā́ hí tváṁ rathāsáhā yuvásva póṣyā vaso ā́n no vāyo mádhu pibāsmā́kaṁ sávanā́ gahi

O Vasu, harness your chariot horses and bring the well-fed pair. O Vayu, drink our soma juice and come to our offerings.

Stanza 8.26.21

तव॑ वायवृतस्पते॒ त्वष्टु॑र्जामातरद्भुत | अवां॒स्या वृ॑णीमहे ||

táva vāyav r̥taspate tváṣṭur jāmātar adbhuta ávāṁsy ā́ vr̥ṇīmahe

O wonderful Vayu, Lord of Order, son-in-law of Tvastr, we choose your protection.

Stanza 8.26.22

त्वष्टु॒र्जामा॑तरं व॒यमीशा॑नं रा॒य ई॑महे | सु॒ताव॑न्तो वा॒युं द्यु॒म्ना जना॑सः ||

tváṣṭur jā́mātaraṁ vayám ī́śānaṁ rāyá īmahe sutā́vanto vāyúṁ dyumnā́ jánāsaḥ

We who have pressed the soma, pray to Vayu, son-in-law of Tvastr, for wealth he controls; people seek Vayu for glory.

Stanza 8.26.23

वायो॑ या॒हि शि॒वा दि॒वो वह॑स्वा॒ सु स्वश्व्य॑म् | वह॑स्व म॒हः पृ॑थु॒पक्ष॑सा॒ रथे॑ ||

vā́yo yāhí śivā́ divó váhasvā sú sváśvyam váhasva maháḥ pr̥thupákṣasā ráthe

O auspicious Vayu, come from heaven, drive with your fine horses and mighty chariot with a wide seat.

Stanza 8.26.24

त्वां हि सु॒प्सर॑स्तमं नृ॒षद॑नेषु हू॒महे॑ | ग्रावा॑णं॒ नाश्व॑पृष्ठं मं॒हना॑ ||

tvā́ṁ hí supsárastamaṁ nr̥ṣádaneṣu hūmáhe grā́vāṇaṁ nā́śvapr̥ṣṭham maṁhánā

We call you, O Vayu, wealthiest in food, to human dwellings, like a mighty press-stone.

Stanza 8.26.25

स त्वं नो॑ देव॒ मन॑सा॒ वायो॑ मन्दा॒नो अ॑ग्रि॒यः | कृ॒धि वाजाँ॑ अ॒पो धियः॑ ||

sá tváṁ no deva mánasā vā́yo mandānó agriyáḥ kr̥dhí vā́jām̐ apó dhíyaḥ

O Vayu, god, first one, come with joy in your mind, grant us strength, water, and wisdom.
