    Stanza 8.14.1

    यदि॑न्द्रा॒हं यथा॒ त्वमीशी॑य॒ वस्व॒ एक॒ इत् | स्तो॒ता मे॒ गोष॑खा स्यात् ||

    yád indrāháṁ yáthā tvám ī́śīya vásva éka ít stotā́ me góṣakhā syāt

    If, O Indra, I were the sole master of wealth, just as you are, then my worshipper would be my only follower.

    Stanza 8.14.2

    शिक्षे॑यमस्मै॒ दित्से॑यं॒ शची॑पते मनी॒षिणे॑ | यद॒हं गोप॑तिः॒ स्याम् ||

    śíkṣeyam asmai dítseyaṁ śácīpate manīṣíṇe yád aháṁ gópatiḥ syā́m

    I would desire to give to him and strengthen him, O lord of powers, for the wise one, if I were the lord of cattle.

    Stanza 8.14.3

    धे॒नुष्ट॑ इन्द्र सू॒नृता॒ यज॑मानाय सुन्व॒ते | गामश्वं॑ पि॒प्युषी॑ दुहे ||

    dhenúṣ ṭa indra sūnŕ̥tā yájamānāya sunvaté gā́m áśvam pipyúṣī duhe

    Your grace, O Indra, is like a cow, bestowing cows and horses abundantly upon the one who worships and presses the Soma.

    Stanza 8.14.4

    न ते॑ व॒र्तास्ति॒ राध॑स॒ इन्द्र॑ दे॒वो न मर्त्यः॑ | यद्दित्स॑सि स्तु॒तो म॒घम् ||

    ná te vartā́sti rā́dhasa índra devó ná mártyaḥ yád dítsasi stutó maghám

    O Indra, no god nor mortal can prevent your generosity; when you wish to give wealth, you are praised.

    Stanza 8.14.5

    य॒ज्ञ इन्द्र॑मवर्धय॒द्यद्भूमिं॒ व्यव॑र्तयत् | च॒क्रा॒ण ओ॑प॒शं दि॒वि ||

    yajñá índram avardhayad yád bhū́miṁ vy ávartayat cakrāṇá opaśáṁ diví

    The sacrifice strengthened Indra; when he made the earth, he established the shining regions in the sky.

    Stanza 8.14.6

    वा॒वृ॒धा॒नस्य॑ ते व॒यं विश्वा॒ धना॑नि जि॒ग्युषः॑ | ऊ॒तिमि॒न्द्रा वृ॑णीमहे ||

    vāvr̥dhānásya te vayáṁ víśvā dhánāni jigyúṣaḥ ūtím indrā́ vr̥ṇīmahe

    We choose your protection, O Indra, who has grown powerful and conquered all treasures.

    Stanza 8.14.7

    व्य१॒॑न्तरि॑क्षमतिर॒न्मदे॒ सोम॑स्य रोच॒ना | इन्द्रो॒ यदभि॑नद्व॒लम् ||

    vy àntárikṣam atiran máde sómasya rocanā́ índro yád ábhinad valám

    In the intoxication of Soma, Indra expanded the atmosphere and the shining regions of the sky, when he broke open Vala.

    Stanza 8.14.8

    उद्गा आ॑ज॒दङ्गि॑रोभ्य आ॒विष्कृ॒ण्वन्गुहा॑ स॒तीः | अ॒र्वाञ्चं॑ नुनुदे व॒लम् ||

    úd gā́ ājad áṅgirobhya āvíṣ kr̥ṇván gúhā satī́ḥ arvā́ñcaṁ nunude valám

    He drove out the cows for the Angirases, making the hidden things visible, and pushed Vala downwards.

    Stanza 8.14.9

    इन्द्रे॑ण रोच॒ना दि॒वो दृ॒ळ्हानि॑ दृंहि॒तानि॑ च | स्थि॒राणि॒ न प॑रा॒णुदे॑ ||

    índreṇa rocanā́ divó dr̥ḷhā́ni dr̥ṁhitā́ni ca sthirā́ṇi ná parāṇúde

    The shining regions of the sky, made firm and strong by Indra, are immovable.

    Stanza 8.14.10

    अ॒पामू॒र्मिर्मद॑न्निव॒ स्तोम॑ इन्द्राजिरायते | वि ते॒ मदा॑ अराजिषुः ||

    apā́m ūrmír mádann iva stóma indrājirāyate ví te mádā arājiṣuḥ

    O Indra, like a joyous wave of water, your praise moves swiftly; your delights shine brightly.

    Stanza 8.14.11

    त्वं हि स्तो॑म॒वर्ध॑न॒ इन्द्रास्यु॑क्थ॒वर्ध॑नः | स्तो॒तॄ॒णामु॒त भ॑द्र॒कृत् ||

    tváṁ hí stomavárdhana índrā́sy ukthavárdhanaḥ stotr̥r̥ṇā́m utá bhadrakŕ̥t

    For you, O Indra, are the one who magnifies hymns and praises, and you are also the bestower of good fortune upon the praisers.

    Stanza 8.14.12

    इन्द्र॒मित्के॒शिना॒ हरी॑ सोम॒पेया॑य वक्षतः | उप॑ य॒ज्ञं सु॒राध॑सम् ||

    índram ít keśínā hárī somapéyāya vakṣataḥ úpa yajñáṁ surā́dhasam

    Let the two horses with flowing manes bring Indra to drink the Soma, the giver of abundant gifts, to the sacrifice.

    Stanza 8.14.13

    अ॒पां फेने॑न॒ नमु॑चेः॒ शिर॑ इ॒न्द्रोद॑वर्तयः | विश्वा॒ यदज॑यः॒ स्पृधः॑ ||

    apā́m phénena námuceḥ śíra indród avartayaḥ víśvā yád ájaya spŕ̥dhaḥ

    With the foam of waters, O Indra, you severed the head of Namuci, when you conquered all adversaries.

    Stanza 8.14.14

    मा॒याभि॑रु॒त्सिसृ॑प्सत॒ इन्द्र॒ द्यामा॒रुरु॑क्षतः | अव॒ दस्यूँ॑रधूनुथाः ||

    māyā́bhir utsísr̥psata índra dyā́m ārúrukṣataḥ áva dásyūm̐r adhūnuthāḥ

    When the Dasyus, by means of magic, tried to ascend to the sky, you, O Indra, drove them down.

    Stanza 8.14.15

    अ॒सु॒न्वामि॑न्द्र सं॒सदं॒ विषू॑चीं॒ व्य॑नाशयः | सो॒म॒पा उत्त॑रो॒ भव॑न् ||

    asunvā́m indra saṁsádaṁ víṣūcīṁ vy ànāśayaḥ somapā́ úttaro bhávan

    O Indra, as a drinker of Soma and a conqueror, you scattered the settlements of those who did not perform sacrifices, becoming superior.
