Stanza 7.94.1

इ॒यं वा॑म॒स्य मन्म॑न॒ इन्द्रा॑ग्नी पू॒र्व्यस्तु॑तिः | अ॒भ्राद्वृ॒ष्टिरि॑वाजनि ||

iyáṁ vām asyá mánmana índrāgnī pūrvyástutiḥ abhrā́d vr̥ṣṭír ivājani

Just as rain comes from the clouds, this highest praise has arisen from my soul for you, Indra and Agni.

Stanza 7.94.2

शृ॒णु॒तं ज॑रि॒तुर्हव॒मिन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ वन॑तं॒ गिरः॑ | ई॒शा॒ना पि॑प्यतं॒ धियः॑ ||

śr̥ṇutáṁ jaritúr hávam índrāgnī vánataṁ gíraḥ īśānā́ pipyataṁ dhíyaḥ

Listen, O Indra and Agni, to the singer's call, and accept these words. O rulers, fill our thoughts with devotion.

Stanza 7.94.3

मा पा॑प॒त्वाय॑ नो न॒रेन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ माभिश॑स्तये | मा नो॑ रीरधतं नि॒दे ||

mā́ pāpatvā́ya no naréndrāgnī mā́bhíśastaye mā́ no rīradhataṁ nidé

O Indra and Agni, do not deliver us to poverty, nor to blame. Do not let us fall into ruin or disgrace.

Stanza 7.94.4

इन्द्रे॑ अ॒ग्ना नमो॑ बृ॒हत्सु॑वृ॒क्तिमेर॑यामहे | धि॒या धेना॑ अव॒स्यवः॑ ||

índre agnā́ námo br̥hát suvr̥ktím érayāmahe dhiyā́ dhénā avasyávaḥ

We send forth great reverence and excellent hymns to Indra and Agni. Seeking their aid, we offer our thoughts and prayers.

Stanza 7.94.5

ता हि शश्व॑न्त॒ ईळ॑त इ॒त्था विप्रा॑स ऊ॒तये॑ | स॒बाधो॒ वाज॑सातये ||

tā́ hí śáśvanta ī́ḷata itthā́ víprāsa ūtáye sabā́dho vā́jasātaye

For these devoted ones, always seeking divine help, they invoke you. These wise ones call for your support and success.

Stanza 7.94.6

ता वां॑ गी॒र्भिर्वि॑प॒न्यवः॒ प्रय॑स्वन्तो हवामहे | मे॒धसा॑ता सनि॒ष्यवः॑ ||

tā́ vāṁ gīrbhír vipanyávaḥ práyasvanto havāmahe medhásātā saniṣyávaḥ

Eager to praise you, O Indra and Agni, with songs, we call upon you, bringing offerings, desiring success in gaining prosperity.

Stanza 7.94.7

इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ अव॒सा ग॑तम॒स्मभ्यं॑ चर्षणीसहा | मा नो॑ दुः॒शंस॑ ईशत ||

índrāgnī ávasā́ gatam asmábhyaṁ carṣaṇīsahā mā́ no duḥśáṁsa īśata

Come to us with your help, O Indra and Agni, you who overcome all beings. Do not let evil influences master us.

Stanza 7.94.8

मा कस्य॑ नो॒ अर॑रुषो धू॒र्तिः प्रण॒ङ्मर्त्य॑स्य | इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतम् ||

mā́ kásya no áraruṣo dhūrtíḥ práṇaṅ mártyasya índrāgnī śárma yachatam

O Indra and Agni, may no harm from any wicked mortal reach us. Protect us from destructive forces.

Stanza 7.94.9

गोम॒द्धिर॑ण्यव॒द्वसु॒ यद्वा॒मश्वा॑व॒दीम॑हे | इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तद्व॑नेमहि ||

gómad dhíraṇyavad vásu yád vām áśvāvad ī́mahe índrāgnī tád vanemahi

Whatever wealth we desire from you, be it in cattle, gold, or horses, O Indra and Agni, let us gain that.

Stanza 7.94.10

यत्सोम॒ आ सु॒ते नर॑ इन्द्रा॒ग्नी अजो॑हवुः | सप्ती॑वन्ता सप॒र्यवः॑ ||

yát sóma ā́ suté nára indrāgnī́ ájohavuḥ sáptīvantā saparyávaḥ

When the Soma is pressed, the men, like priests, call upon Indra and Agni, masters of horses.

Stanza 7.94.11

उ॒क्थेभि॑र्वृत्र॒हन्त॑मा॒ या म॑न्दा॒ना चि॒दा गि॒रा | आ॒ङ्गू॒षैरा॒विवा॑सतः ||

ukthébhir vr̥trahántamā yā́ mandānā́ cid ā́ girā́ āṅgūṣaír āvívāsataḥ

With praises and songs, we call upon you, O best slayers of enemies, who delight in devotion and hymns.

Stanza 7.94.12

ताविद्दुः॒शंसं॒ मर्त्यं॒ दुर्वि॑द्वांसं रक्ष॒स्विन॑म् | आ॒भो॒गं हन्म॑ना हतमुद॒धिं हन्म॑ना हतम् ||

tā́v íd duḥśáṁsam mártyaṁ dúrvidvāṁsaṁ rakṣasvínam ābhogáṁ hánmanā hatam udadhíṁ hánmanā hatam

Strike down that wicked mortal, the demoniac, the one who hinders the waters, and the serpent-like foe.
