शुचिं॒ नु स्तोमं॒ नव॑जातम॒द्येन्द्रा॑ग्नी वृत्रहणा जु॒षेथा॑म् | उ॒भा हि वां॑ सु॒हवा॒ जोह॑वीमि॒ ता वाजं॑ स॒द्य उ॑श॒ते धेष्ठा॑ ||
śúciṁ nú stómaṁ návajātam adyéndrāgnī vr̥trahaṇā juṣéthām ubhā́ hí vāṁ suhávā jóhavīmi tā́ vā́jaṁ sadyá uśaté dhéṣṭhā
O Indra and Agni, destroyers of the Vritra, accept this pure hymn, newly composed today! For indeed, I call upon you both, who are easily invoked. Grant us strength immediately, suitable for those who desire it.

Indeed, you two were mighty in obtaining, growing together, waxing in power with strength. As lords of abundance, having gained ample wealth, bestow upon us lasting and fresh strength.

úpo ha yád vidáthaṁ vājíno gúr dhībhír víprāḥ prámatim ichámānāḥ árvanto ná kā́ṣṭhāṁ nákṣamāṇā indrāgnī́ jóhuvato náras té
When you, the powerful ones, entered the assembly, and the sages, seeking understanding with their wisdom, like swift horses reaching the goal, O Indra and Agni, the men who call you are indeed like them.
This verse describes the arrival of powerful beings and wise men into a sacred assembly or place of worship. It uses a simile comparing them to swift horses entering a race course, emphasizing their eagerness and purpose in invoking Indra and Agni.

The sage, seeking favor with hymns, prays for glorious wealth that is shared first. O Indra and Agni, slayers of Vritra, armed with strong thunderbolts, grant us these new gifts.
A wise man, seeking favor and understanding, prays to Indra and Agni for abundant and glorious wealth. He invokes them as formidable deities, armed with mighty thunderbolts, and asks them to bestow new gifts and prosperity.

O Agni, thus invoked with reverence, invite Mitra, Varuṇa, and Indra. Forgive whatever sin we have committed; may Aryaman and Aditi absolve us.
The worshipper addresses Agni, asking him to invite other great deities like Mitra, Varuṇa, and Indra to the ritual. The speaker then humbly requests forgiveness for any unintentional sins committed, asking Aryaman and Aditi to remove them.

O Agni, we, making these offerings, wish to obtain powers from you two. May Indra, Vishnu, and the Maruts not disregard us. May you always protect us with blessings.
