Stanza 7.81.1
प्रत्यु॑ अदर्श्याय॒त्यु१॒॑च्छन्ती॑ दुहि॒ता दि॒वः | अपो॒ महि॑ व्ययति॒ चक्ष॑से॒ तमो॒ ज्योति॑ष्कृणोति सू॒नरी॑ ||

Appearing now, the daughter of the sky is seen. She removes the great darkness for us to see, and the friendly goddess makes the light appear.
As dawn breaks, the radiant "Daughter of the Sky" (Ushas) becomes visible. She dispels the encompassing darkness, revealing the vastness and making the light manifest, a welcoming presence for all.

The Sun releases the dawn-rays together. As the star rises, the Sun shines. O Dawn, at your rising and the Sun's rising, may we partake together in what is given.
As the sun rises, it releases its beams along with the dawn. The stanza invokes a desire to share in the blessings of both the dawn and the sun at their ascent.

O daughter of the sky, O Dawn, we have awakened to you, you who are quick to bestow. You who carry much that is desirable, grant us enjoyment and well-being, like a father for his son.
The speaker addresses Ushas, the daughter of the sky, as a bountiful and awakening presence. They express that they have woken to her light and wish to receive her abundant blessings and prosperity.

As you appear, Goddess, you create great brightness for seeing the heavens. We yearn for your treasure-sharing gifts. May we be like sons to the mother.
The speaker praises Ushas, the goddess of dawn, for her radiant work of illuminating the world and the heavens so they can be seen. They express a deep desire to be cherished by her like a mother cherishes her children.

Bring us that wonderful, renowned gift, O Dawn. Whatever you, daughter of the sky, have as sustenance for humans, bestow that upon us to enjoy.
The speaker asks Ushas to bring a wondrous, widely renowned bounty. They request that she bestow upon them her life-sustaining nourishment, which is meant for human enjoyment.

O Ushas, bestow fame and wealth upon our leaders, and abundant resources for us. You who inspire the wealthy, grant us sustenance and drive away our foes.
The speaker prays for Ushas to bestow fame, immortality, and wealth upon their leaders, and abundant resources for themselves, asking her to awaken prosperity and drive away their enemies.
