úd v eti subhágo viśvácakṣāḥ sā́dhāraṇaḥ sū́ryo mā́nuṣāṇām cákṣur mitrásya váruṇasya deváś cármeva yáḥ samávivyak támāṁsi

The auspicious, all-seeing Sun, the common light for all people, is rising. As the divine eye of Mitra and Varuṇa, it rolled up the darkness like a piece of leather.

úd v eti prasavītā́ jánānām mahā́n ketúr arṇaváḥ sū́ryasya samānáṁ cakrám paryāvívr̥tsan yád etaśó váhati dhūrṣú yuktáḥ

The great, restless banner of the Sun, like the ocean, advances, urging people to action. The well-rounded wheel of the Sun rolls on, which Etaśa, yoked to the pole, pulls.

Stanza 7.63.3

vibhrā́jamāna uṣásām upásthād rebhaír úd ety anumadyámānaḥ eṣá me deváḥ savitā́ cachanda yáḥ samānáṁ ná praminā́ti dhā́ma

Shining brilliantly from the dawn, praised by singers, the Sun rises. This god, Savitar, is dear to me, for he upholds the universal order and does not violate it.

divó rukmá urucákṣā úd eti dūréarthas taráṇir bhrā́jamānaḥ nūnáṁ jánāḥ sū́ryeṇa prásūtā áyann árthāni kr̥ṇávann ápāṁsi

The golden Sun, with wide vision, rises from the sky, swift and radiant towards its distant goal. Now, inspired by the Sun, people proceed to accomplish their aims and perform their deeds.

yátrā cakrúr amŕ̥tā gātúm asmai śyenó ná dī́yann ánv eti pā́thaḥ práti vāṁ sū́ra údite vidhema námobhir mitrāvaruṇotá havyaíḥ

Where the immortals made ready his path, he moves like a falcon following the way. O Mitra and Varuṇa, when the Sun has risen, we will serve you with reverence and offerings.

Stanza 7.63.6

nū́ mitró váruṇo aryamā́ nas tmáne tokā́ya várivo dadhantu sugā́ no víśvā supáthāni santu yūyám pāta svastíbhiḥ sádā naḥ

May Mitra, Varuṇa, and Aryaman grant us and our children freedom and ample room. May all our ways be easy and good. Protect us always with well-being.
