prá sākamúkṣe arcatā gaṇā́ya yó daívyasya dhā́mnas túviṣmān utá kṣodanti ródasī mahitvā́ nákṣante nā́kaṁ nírr̥ter avaṁśā́t

Sing to the group that showers rain together, to the mighty host of the divine. They shake the heavens and the earth with their greatness, and reach for the sky from the depths of destruction.

Stanza 7.58.2

janū́ś cid vo marutas tveṣyèṇa bhī́māsas túvimanyavó 'yāsaḥ prá yé máhobhir ójasotá sánti víśvo vo yā́man bhayate svardŕ̥k

Even your birth, O Maruts, was with fiery power; you are fearsome, wrathful, and tireless. You stand forth with great might and strength; everyone who sees the sun fears your arrival.

Stanza 7.58.3

br̥hád váyo maghávadbhyo dadhāta jújoṣann ín marútaḥ suṣṭutíṁ naḥ gató nā́dhvā ví tirāti jantúm prá ṇa spārhā́bhir ūtíbhis tireta

Grant ample strength and vitality to our lords, if the Maruts are pleased with our good praise. As a travelled path helps a person forward, may they help us; may they protect us with their desirable succors.

Stanza 7.58.4

yuṣmóto vípro marutaḥ śatasvī́ yuṣmóto árvā sáhuriḥ sahasrī́ yuṣmótaḥ samrā́ḷ utá hanti vr̥trám prá tád vo astu dhūtayo deṣṇám

Favored by you, O Maruts, a wise person gains a hundred; favored by you, a swift steed wins a thousand; favored by you, even a king kills his enemy. May that gift of yours, O shakers, prevail.

Stanza 7.58.5

I call upon these generous sons of Rudra; will the Maruts not turn to us again? Whatever they disliked, secretly or openly, that fault we pray the swift ones to forgive.

Stanza 7.58.6

prá sā́ vāci suṣṭutír maghónām idáṁ sūktám marúto juṣanta ārā́c cid dvéṣo vr̥ṣaṇo yuyota yūyám pāta svastíbhiḥ sádā naḥ

This praise of the mighty ones has been spoken; may the Maruts accept this hymn. O strong ones, keep hatred far from us; always protect us with well-being.
